Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] This invention is related to a container which is portable and can be easily folded.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] Containers are generally used for storing trivial items and objects. However, the conventional container is generally made of hard plastic material, which will cause much inconvenience in stowage and will take up unnecessary space when not in use. In addition, the conventional container is inconvenient to carry and transport thereby making it unfit for practical use.

[0005] Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improvement in the structure of a container which can obviate and mitigate the above-mentioned drawbacks.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] This invention is related to the structure of a container.

[0007] It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a container which is portable and can be easily folded.

[0008] The foregoing objects and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts. Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention;

[0010] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention;

[0011] FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the present invention;

[0012] FIGS. 4 and 5 illustrate how to collapse the present invention;

[0013] FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the present invention shown in collapsed condition.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] For the purpose of promoting an understanding of the principles of the invention, reference will now be made to the embodiment illustrated in the drawings. Specific language will be used to describe same. It will, nevertheless, be understood that no limitation of the scope of the invention is thereby intended, such alterations and further modifications in the illustrated device, and such further applications of the principles of the invention as illustrated herein being contemplated as would normally occur to one skilled in the art to which the invention relates.

[0015] With reference to the drawings and in particular to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 thereof, the container 100 according to the present invention is generally rectangular in shape and comprises two first opposite side walls 11, two second opposite side walls 12, a bottom 13 and a cover 16. The side walls 11 and 12 and the bottom 13 are all made of cloth. A first pocket wing 111 extends outwardly from the upper edge of each of the first opposite side walls 11. A second pocket wing 121 extends outwardly from the upper edge of one of the second opposite side walls 12. The cover 16 is connected to the upper edge of another one of the second opposite side walls 12. A paper board 14 which is smaller than the second pocket wing 121 is inserted into the second pocket wing 121. The three sides of the second pocket wing 121 will have excessive cloth portions not stiffened by the paper board 14. The excessive cloth portions of these three sides of the second pocket wing 121 are folded inwardly (see FIG. 2). A pair of paper boards 15 are also inserted into each of the first pocket wings 11 and the excessive portions of cloth contained in the sides of the first pocket wings 11 which are not stiffened by paper boards 15 are folded inwardly. A bottom board 17 enclosed within a cloth pocket are provided with a pull loop 171 is placed on the bottom 13 to push open the first and second side walls 11 and 12 to receive articles.

[0016] Referring to FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, when not in use, the bottom board 17 is first removed from bottom 13 of the container 100 and then the first side walls 11 are folded inwardly along the line between the two paper boards 15. Thereafter, the container 100 is folded into the inner side of the cover 16 so that is becomes fattened and rectangular in shape thereby facilitating storage transportation thereof.

[0017] It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

[0018] While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
