Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to toolboxes, and particularly to an easily connected and installed toolbox, wherein a plurality of toolboxes can be connected longitudinally and transversally. Leg frames are used to support the toolbox to a desired working place.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] In mechanical working, such as repair of cars, many different kinds and specifications of tools are necessary. A toolbox is needed for installing various kinds of tools.

[0003] Generally, a toolbox has a receiving box. A top end of the toolbox has a flange for holding by hands.

[0004] However the size of the toolbox is confined so that it only contains a finite number of tools. Furthermore, in operation, the toolbox is placed aside. The toolbox cannot be placed near the working place, and thus inconvenience in operation is induced. As a result, in working, the worker often places the toolbox randomly. This may induce the tools to be lost or the worker must take time to find a tool.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a toolbox, wherein a plurality of toolboxes can be connected longitudinally and transversally. Leg frames are used to support the toolbox to a desired working place. In repairing an engine of a car, a plurality of toolboxes of the present invention are assembled. The leg frames serve to fix the toolboxes to the sides of the car. Thereby the operator can place the tools in the toolboxes. The work can be performed conveniently.

[0006] To achieve above objects, the present invention provides a toolbox having at least one male connector and at least one female connector so that a plurality of toolboxes can be connected by the connection of the male connector and female connector; a bottom of the toolbox having at least one guide groove; a leg frame having at least one hook for adjustably engaging with the guide groove. Each male connector is a long sheet vertically arranged at the lateral side of the receiving box and each female connector has a hole for receiving the male connector. A wall of the toolbox has a plurality of slot; and the plurality of slots penetrate to a bottom of the receiving box. The leg frame has a lower bar; each of two ends of the lower bar is extended with a supporter; a distal end of each supporter has a hook; and the hook can be inserted into the guide groove for supporting the receiving box.

[0007] The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008] FIG. 1 is a perspective view about the toolbox of the present invention.

[0009] FIG. 2 is a perspective view about the connection of the present invention.

[0010] FIG. 3 is a perspective view about the application of the present invention.

[0011] FIG. 4 shows another application of the present invention, where a leg frame is used.

[0012] FIG. 5 shows a further application of the present invention, wherein the toolboxes are used to the repair of a car.

[0013] FIG. 6 shows that the toolboxes can be stacked vertically according to the present invention.

[0014] FIG. 7 is a schematic view showing the stacking of the present invention with the use of leg frame.

[0015] FIG. 8 shows that the present invention can be stacked transversally and longitudinally.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0016] In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.

[0017] Referring to FIG. 1, the structure of the present invention is illustrated. In this embodiment, the toolbox has an oblong shape. However the present invention is not confined by this shape. Other shape is permissible.

[0018] The toolbox 10 has the following elements.

[0019] A receiving box 12 has a rectangular shape. An upper edge of the receiving box 12 is extended outwards with a flange 14. An upper surface of the upper edge of the receiving box 12 is formed with a plurality of slots 121 which are symmetrically arranged. The plurality of slots 121 penetrate to a bottom of the receiving box 12. Each slot 121 has a rectangular shape. Each slot 121 at two adjacent sides of the receiving box 12 has a corresponding male connector 16 at a lateral side of the receiving box 12. Each slot at the other two adjacent sides of the receiving box 12 has a corresponding female connector 18 at the lateral side of the receiving box 12. Each female connector 18 has a slit for receiving the male connector 16. Each male connector 16 is a long sheet vertically arranged at the lateral side of the receiving box and each female connector has a hole for receiving the male connector 16.

[0020] Referring to FIG. 2, in one embodiment of the present invention, the toolboxes 10, 10a are connected by the connection of the male connectors 16 and female connectors 18 of two toolboxes 10, 10a. Or as illustrated in FIG. 3, three toolboxes are connected.

[0021] Referring to FIG. 4, a bottom side of the receiving box 12 has a U shape guide groove 20. The U shape guide groove 20 can be used with a leg frame 30. With reference to FIG. 7, the leg frame 30 has a lower bar 31. Each of two ends of the lower bar 31 is extended with a supporter 32. A distal end of each supporter 32 has a hook 33. The hook can be inserted into the guide groove 20 for supporting the receiving box 12.

[0022] Referring to FIG. 5, one application of the present invention is illustrated. In repairing an engine of a car, a plurality of toolboxes 10 of the present invention can be assembled. The leg frames 30 serve to fix the toolboxes 10 to the sides of the car. Thereby the operator can place the tools in the toolboxes 10. Thereby the work can be performed conveniently.

[0023] The guide groove 20 is installed at the bottom of each toolbox 10 and thus it can fit the size of a car. The leg frame is slideable in the guide groove 20 for adjusting the position thereof.

[0024] Further, referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, connecting elements 200 can be inserted through the slots 121 of two toolboxes 10 so as to connect the toolboxes 10 longitudinally.

[0025] Furthermore, if a ground has water, the toolbox 10 can be supported at a high plate by using the leg frame 30 so that the toolbox will not rust. Further more toolboxes can be connected.

[0026] Referring to FIG. 8, a plurality of toolboxes can be connected longitudinally and transversally.

[0027] The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
