Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] This invention relates to a removable door for an oven, easy and convenient for washing, disassembling and re-assembling.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] A common conventional oven always has a door set at the front side and opened pivotally downwards to keep convenient for putting and taking out food in the oven. But, the door usually is unable to be disassembled, limiting it to be wiped clean only by a rag, uneasy to be completely washed, especially for oily contamination. Moreover, as shown in FIG. 1, if the conventional oven is big, a user 11, owing to be blocked by the opened door in a flat condition, cannot reach the interior 12 of the oven by hand for washing so that it must be often done by an auxiliary means. Therefore, this invention has been revised to overcome the defects mentioned above.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The objective of this invention is to offer a removable door for an oven.

[0006] The main feature of the invention is two fixed bases respectively fixed at two sidewalls of the oven body and two positioning bases respectively fixed at two sides of an oven door. Each fixed base is provided with a roller, a stopper and a locking hook. Each positioning base is provided with a leaning rod, a spring fitting around on the leaning rod, a linking rod, two connecting plates and a position controller. The linking rod is provided with a front end connected pivotally to the positioning base by a pivotal, an arc surface on the top, a fixing groove near the front end, a tapered hook at a rear end and a hook in a lower side. Each connecting plate is connected pivotally with the positioning base by a pivotal at one end and with the position controller by a pivotal at the other end. The position controller is provided with a top edge at the other end leaning against under the stopper, a filling recess at the bottom for fitting with the locking hook and a locking ring for locking with the hook of the linking rod.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0007] This invention is better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

[0012] FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing it being lifted up from the opened condition; and

[0013] FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing it disassembled.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] As shown in FIG. 2, a preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention includes an oven body 2 and an oven door 3, two fixed bases 20 respectively fixed at two sidewalls of the oven body 2 and two positioning bases 30 respectively fixed at two sides of the oven door 3. One fixed base 2 and one positioning base 3 functions as a unit.

[0015] Each fixed base 20 is provided with a roller 21 in an upper portion, a stopper 22 and a locking hook 23 in a lower portion.

[0016] Each positioning base 30 is provided with a leaning rod 31, a spring 32 fitted around the leaning rod 31, a linking rod 4 connected pivotally to an intermediate portion, two connecting plates 5 and 6 set in a lower portion and a position controller 7 sandwiched between the connecting plates 5 and 6. The linking rod 4 is provided with a front end 40 connected pivotally to the positioning base 30 by a pivotal 41 and compressed by the leaning rod 31, an arc surface 42 formed on the top, a fixing groove 43 formed near the front end 40, a tapered hook 45 formed in a rear end 44 and a hook 46 formed in a lower side. Each of the connecting plates 5 and 6 is connected pivotally to the positioning base 30 by a pivot 50, 60 at one end and with the position controller 7 by a pivot 51, 61 at the other end. The position controller 7 is provided with a top edge 70 at the other end leaning upwards against the stopper 22 of the fixed base 20, a fitting recess 71 at the bottom for fitting with the locking hook 23 of the fixed base 20 and a locking ring 72 for locking with the hook 46 of the linking rod 4.

[0017] In using, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, when the oven door 3 is opened, the front end 40 of the rod 4, because it is compressed by leaning rod 31 that is elastically compressed by the spring 32, is to be simultaneously pulled outwards by the oven door. By the time, the arc surface 42 of the rod 4 can move along the roller 21 of the fixed base 20. So when the oven door 3 is opened to the widest position, the tapered hook 45 of the rear end 44 of the rod 4 is to hook with the roller 21 of the fixed base 20 so as to keep the oven door 3 at that position immovable, as shown in FIG. 3. Also, because the position controller 7 is fixed on the fixed base 20 and the connecting plates 5 and 6 are driven to move pivotally as the oven door 3 is moved for opening, the oven door 3 can be opened smoothly without difficulty. On the contrary, when the oven door 3 is to be closed, the arc surface 42 of the rod 4 is to move along the roller 21 until the roller 21 sits in the fitting recess 43, carrying out closing the oven door 3, as shown in FIG. 2.

[0018] As shown in FIGS. 2-6, when the oven in the invention is to be cleaned, the oven door 3 has to be opened first as shown in FIG. 3. Then, the locking ring 72 of the position controller 7 is rotated to lock on the hook 46 of the rod 4 to keep the rod 4 linked together with the position controller 7, as shown in FIG. 4. Next, lift up the oven door 3 slightly as shown in FIG. 5. By the time, the tapered hook 45 of the rear end 44 of the rod 4 is moved away from the roller 21 of the fixed base 20, and the fitting recess 71 of the position controller 7 is separated from the locking hook 23 of the fixed base 20, enabling the whole oven door 3 to be removed outwards, as shown in FIG. 6. Therefore, the oven door 3 and the interior of the oven can be cleaned up easily. On the contrary, when the oven door 3 is to be re-assembled, keep the oven door 3 inclined slightly so as to enable the rod 4 to extend in the fixed base 20, with the top edge 70 of the position controller 7 leaning against under the stopper 22 of the fixed base 20 and the locking ring 72 of the position controller 7 facing right against the locking hook 23 of the fixed base 20. Then, press down the oven door 3 and remove the locking ring 72 of the position controller 7 to separate from the tapered hook 46 of the rod 4, and make the fitting recess 71 of the position controller 7 fitted with the locking hook 23 of the fixed base 20, as shown in FIG. 3, finishing re-assembling the oven door 3.

[0019] The invention has the following advantages as can be seen from the foresaid description.

[0020] 1. By means of the mutual match of the rod 4 and the roller 21, the oven door 3 can be stably positioned whenever it is closed or opened.

[0021] 2. The oven door 3 is removable, convenient for washing.

[0022] 3. It is very easy and convenient to dissemble or re-assemble the oven door 3.

[0023] While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
