Description
BACKGROUND
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an anti-theft package for
promotional items for use with a container, such as a bottle,
comprising at least one base body and at least one first fastening
device, which can be pulled over the neck of a bottle.
[0002] An anti-theft package for promotional items is known, for
example, from DE 202 13 205 U1, according to which a sleeve is
pulled over the neck of a bottle.
[0003] Such known packages, however, have the disadvantage that
they can be removed from a bottle neck without great effort and
nearly free from destruction, so that the promotional items can be
easily stolen. The desire for anti-theft attachment of advertising
gifts and accessories is also due to the fact that such promotional
items are no longer only inexpensive items that can be procured in
large quantities without great expense, but are instead
increasingly valuable products.
[0004] For these reasons it is desirable to be able to showcase
promotional items and accessories to a potential buyer in a
relatively theft-proof manner together with the actual product that
is being sold.
[0005] It is, therefore, an object of the present disclosure to
provide a theft-proof package for promotional items, which can be
attached to a product relatively easily and securely and which does
not impair the aesthetic presentation of the product, wherein
reliable theft protection is provided both during transport and
during display in sales locations.
SUMMARY
[0006] Disclosed herein is anti-theft packaging with at least one
second fastening device, which is disposed at a distance from a
first fastening device and which can be secured around the neck
and/or body of a container, such as a bottle. The second fastening
device may be added and locked reversibly or irreversibly around
the neck or body of the bottle.
[0007] An anti-theft package according to the present disclosure
may be configured to be easily pulled over the neck of the bottle.
Thereafter, by tightly pulling the fastening device together, the
package is then firmly held against the neck of the bottle. In some
implementations, the second fastening device may be tightened,
particularly irreversibly, around the bottle neck so that it can no
longer be pulled over the outer bulge at the opening of the bottle
or over a screwed-on or snapped-on lid on the bottle.
[0008] Advantageously, the second fastening device may be a cable
tie, pipe clamp or the like. In particular, cable ties made of
plastic provide good theft-proof attachment of a package for
promotional items according to the present disclosure.
[0009] Furthermore, a preferred embodiment may be characterized in
that at least one second fastening device can be provided at a
distance further from the opening of a bottle than the first
fastening device. In this embodiment, the attachment of the package
to a bottle is very simple and may be automated without
difficulty.
[0010] Furthermore, an embodiment of a package for promotional
items according to the present disclosure is preferably
characterized in that at least one second fastening device is or
can be attached to the package for promotional items using at least
one hole or an eye in or a lug on the base body of the package.
[0011] Of course, the first fastening device may be configured
identical or similar to the second fastening device. Therefore,
according to a further development, the first fastening device may
be a fastening device that can be placed around the neck and/or
body of a bottle and which can be added and locked reversibly or
irreversibly around the neck or body of the bottle. As with the
second fastening device, the first fastening device may be a cable
tie, a pipe clamp or the like.
[0012] It is preferable if the first fastening device is configured
as an open or closed sleeve. When an open or closed sleeve is
attached to the upper end of the package for promotional items,
meaning in the vicinity of or on the bottle opening, the attachment
of the package to the bottle is particularly easy. This
additionally applies to such packages according to the present
disclosure, wherein the sleeve has a plurality of projections
directed towards a bottle neck for clamping the same to the bottle
neck or a lid on the bottle. In some implementations, the sleeve
may have three or more inwardly directed projections.
[0013] In an advantageous embodiment, it is furthermore provided
that the base body of the anti-theft package comprises at least one
first and/or at least one second fastening device made at least in
part of plastic.
[0014] It is particularly advantageous if the first and second
fastening devices are both made of pure plastic or plastics that
can recycled together. Pure plastics are such materials that can be
reused through recycling. When using pure plastic material, a
particularly efficient recycling of the packaging can be
achieved.
[0015] A particularly advantageous embodiment finally is
characterized in that the base body of the anti-theft package has
at least one chamber in which a promotional item can be
disposed.
[0016] Embodiments described herein are based on the surprising
realization that a package for promotional items comprising at
least one first fastening device and at least one second fastening
device may provide secure and simple theft protection. The second
fastening device may be disposed at a distance from the first
fastening device and can be secured around the neck and/or body of
the bottle. Further, the second fastening device can be added and
locked reversibly or irreversibly around the neck or body of the
bottle, for example in the form of a cable tie. In addition, the
material expenses for such anti-theft packaging are reduced, and it
is not necessary to design new packages for promotional items for
different bottle necks since the fastening device is suited to pull
and hold together packaging for a variety of bottle diameters.
[0017] Since the one or more fastening devices are easily attached
to the neck of a bottle, the assembly of the package for
promotional items requires little effort. This may result in
significant cost savings. Furthermore, the second fastening device,
particularly in the form of a cable tie, provides a secure and
resilient connection. In addition, releasing the fastening device
requires more time and/or additional resources, such as a side
cutter. An advantage of a second fastening device for the purpose
of pulling and holding the arrangement together is that the package
for promotional items can be added very closely to the bottle neck
and accordingly requires very little additional space.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0018] Further characteristics and advantages of the embodiments
disclosed herein will be apparent from the description provided
hereinafter, which explains two exemplary implementations of the
invention in more detail with reference to schematic illustrations,
wherein:
[0019] FIG. 1 depicts a first implementation of an anti-theft
package for promotional items according to a first aspect of the
invention; and
[0020] FIG. 2 depicts a second implementation of an anti-theft
package for promotional items according to another aspect of the
invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0021] FIG. 1 shows a first implementation of an anti-theft package
1 for promotional items, which package can be pulled over a neck of
a bottle (not shown). The package 1 comprises a first fastening
device in the form of a sleeve 3 that is closed at the top with a
cover 13. The inside diameter of the sleeve 3 is preferably
adjusted according to the diameter of the bottle neck, the bottle
opening or the bottle closure over which the sleeve 3 is supposed
to be pulled. The sleeve 3 may furthermore comprise a plurality of
inwardly directed projections 5, which allow the sleeve to be
affixed to the bottle neck and/or the bottle closure even better.
Furthermore, the base body 6 of the package 1 comprises chamber 7
for accommodating one or more promotional items therein.
[0022] The package 1 furthermore comprises a second fastening
device, for example in the form of a cable tie 9, which is attached
via an eye 11 defined in the package 1. The cable tie 9 is wrapped
around the bottle neck (not shown) during attachment and tightened
to ensure that it cannot detach again. This way, the package 1 for
promotional items can be securely attached to a bottle neck and is
extremely difficult to remove from the bottle without destroying
the package and perhaps the contents of the same. Removal of the
package 1 is typically only possible with the use of a tool since
cable ties, for example, are generally very robust and have high
tensile strength.
[0023] FIG. 2 shows a second implementation of an anti-theft
package 1' for promotional items according to the present
disclosure. The package 1' has a first fastening device in the form
of an open sleeve 3' on a first lug of the body 6' of the package
1', which sleeve 3' is placed over a bottle neck (not shown). The
package 1' according to the second implementation has a flat
chamber 7', in which one or more promotional items (not shown) can
be accommodated. A second lug 10' comprising two holes 11' is
disposed on the lower end of the chamber 7', through which holes
11' a cable tie 9' is pulled for attachment of the package 1' to a
bottle neck (not shown). As is true for the first implementation
described above, the cable tie 9' may be pulled tightly around the
neck of the bottle (not shown) so that removing the package 1' from
the bottle requires great effort.
[0024] Therefore, as with the first implementation, removal of the
package 1' according to the second implementation may only be
possible by destroying the same.
[0025] Since the package 1 or 1' for promotional items can be made
of transparent plastic material, a customer is able to determine
the content of the package, meaning the advertised or promotional
items, without difficulty.
[0026] Consequently, the package 1, 1' provides an easy, yet
theft-proof attachment of a promotional item to a bottle neck.
[0027] Of course it is also conceivable to combine a plurality of
base bodies of packages, for example in order to securely provide a
group of bottles with one or more advertising gifts.
[0028] The characteristics and features of the implementations
disclosed in the above description, in the claims and in the
figures--either alone or in any combination with each other--may be
used in each of the various embodiments.
