Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to foldable tents, and more particularly to a tent having eaves.

[0003] 2. Description of Prior Art

[0004] In accordance with the conventional varied tents in the market, the middle and small sized tents facilitates to carry over and take camping, and the bigger foldable tents are used to shelter from sunlight at the open air.

[0005] As shown in FIG. 1, the conventional mat-awning tent is typically comprised of four poles 1', awning boom frame 2' and awning 3' covering over said awning boon frame 2'. Wherein the effective sunshade area surrounded by the edges of the tent is the area of the awning supported by the four poles 1', if tending to increase the effective sunshade area, it should be to increase the length of every roof brace 21' of awning boom frame 3', and cooperating to increase assistant struts so as to improve the supporting intension of the spreading awning 3', but in this structure, the highness of folded tent will be increased.

[0006] For the sake above-mentioned, the inventor of the present invention designed a foldable tent having eaves, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 2a, not only increasing the effective sunshade area of the tent, but also not increasing the folded tent highness, said design based-on the conventional tent frame attaches a cornice frame 4' at each pole 1' radial outward, said cornice frame 4' includes a cornice 41' and a sub-cornice 42', therein the cornice 41' is fixed at a retainer 23' located on the top end of the pole 1' with one end, and the another end is stretched out of the tent; said sub-cornice 42' is attached on the pole 1' via a slider 43' with one end, and the another end is pivoted on the cornice 41'. Therefore, the cornice frame 4' can be folded or stroke up with the awning boom frame 2' simultaneously to increase the effective sunshade area, meanwhile the highness of folded tent is not increased due to adding said awning boom frame 4'.

[0007] But, said awning boom frame 4' is comprised of two struts, meanwhile and a slider attached on the pole, due to the increased number of the parts, the volume of the folded tent is increased, although the highness is not increased; if the sub-cornice is pivoted on the awning boom frame directly with one end for guaranteeing the cornice frame to fold smoothly, but the length of the sub-cornice has to be increased, further to affect the practical use.

OBJECTS AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] It is therefore a main object of the present invention to provide a foldable corniced tent having simple structure without adding volume of the folded tent.

[0009] For achieving the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a foldable corniced tent, which is typically comprised of poles, awning boom frame supported by said poles and awning covering over the strike-up awning boom frame, the each roof brace set of said awning boom frame is fixed on said pole by locating the outside ends on the stay base and slider located at the top end and trunk of the pole respectively, wherein on the each roof brace of said awning boom frame, a cornice boom is pivoted on the proper position approaching to the out end with one end, and the trunk of said cornice boom is fit into a guide block located on the stay base fixed on the top end of the pole stretching outward to form cornice; a clip is fixed on the stay base located on the top end of the pole for guide the trunk of the cornice boom.

[0010] Said cornice boom is pivoted on the roof brace via a connector.

[0011] As utilizing above-mentioned project, due to attaching an individual cornice boom on each roof brace in pivoting connection, and the sub-supporting coming from the top end of the pole, hence the present invention saves a sub-cornice and a slider connecting the sub-cornice to the pole, so that the present invention not only simplifies the structure, but also keeps the volume of the folded tent in the original level facilitating to saving and carrying out. On the other hand, as tending to fold the tent, just need to lift up the free end of the cornice boom and turn it to inside of the roof brace, then cooperate to the action of folding tent, the tent can be folded down, the cornice booms are placed in the gaps between the roof braces.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0012] FIG. 1 is a scheme of the conventional foldable tent.

[0013] FIG. 2 is a scheme of the prior art.

[0014] FIG. 2a is a part-enlarged view of FIG. 2.

[0015] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the present invention.

[0016] FIG. 3a is a part-enlarged view of FIG. 3.

[0017] FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing the folding action of the present invention.

[0018] FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the folded state of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0019] Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 3a, a foldable corniced tent provided by the present invention is typically comprised of four poles 1, awning boom frame 2 supported by said poles 1, awning 3 covering over the strike-up awning boom frame 2 and four cornice booms 4.

[0020] Wherein, said pole 1 is attached with a stay base 11 at the top end, and a U-shaped clip 111, meanwhile a sliding base 12 is attached on the pole 1 in motion connection; a stopper is located on the upper portion of the pole 1.

[0021] Said awning boom frame 2 includes four roof brace sets 21 and four side strut sets 22, in which said roof brace set 21 includes roof brace 211 and sub-brace 212, all the roof braces 211 are pivoted on a pivoting hub 23 with the inside ends, and the outside ends are pivoted on the stay base 11 located on the top end of the pole 1, said subbrace 212 is pivoted on the roof brace 211 with one end, and another end is pivoted on the side strut set 22; each side strut set 22 is pivoted on the stay base 11 and the sliding base 12 of the pole 1 with the both ends in one side respectively.

[0022] Said cornice boom 4 is an individual stem, and is pivoted on the roof brace 211 of said awning boom frame 2 with one end via connector 41, and the trunk of it is fit into the clip 111 located on the stay base 11 of the pole 1, and the free end is stretched out for forming a cornice.

[0023] Said awning 3 is fixed on pivoting hub 23 of said awning boom frame 2 with the center, and each corner is fixed on the free end of each cornice boom 4.

[0024] As tending to strike up the tent, push up the sliding base 12 along the pole 1 to open the folded awning boom frame 2 until getting full open state, then turn the cornice boom 4 outward about the pivoting point, and locating the trunk on the stay base 11 located on the top end of the pole 1 without swinging, or insert the trunk into the U-shaped clip 111 for locating, so a tent having eaves is constructed with simple structure and easy operation.

[0025] Referring to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, as tending to fold the tent, just need to lift up the free end of the cornice boom 4 and turn it to inside of the roof brace 211, meanwhile release the sliding base 12 on the pole 1, cooperate to the action of folding tent, the tent can be folded down, the cornice booms are placed in the gaps between the roof braces without occupying extra space, so as to not affect to carry over and store.
