Barbeque grill having pivot foldable function

Abstract

A barbeque grill includes an upright support frame, and a grill body foldably and pivotally mounted on the support frame. The grill body is rotatable relative to the support frame until the grill body is retracted into the support frame, so that the grill body is fully hidden in the support frame, thereby folding the barbeque grill. Thus, the grill body is fully hidden in the support frame when the barbeque grill is folded to reduce the volume of the barbeque grill largely, thereby facilitating storage, package and transportation of the barbeque grill.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a barbeque grill, and more particularly to a barbeque grill having a pivot foldable function.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] A conventional barbeque grill comprises a support frame, and a grill body fixed on the support frame. However, the grill body is fixed on the support frame, so that the barbeque grill cannot be folded when not in use, thereby causing inconvenience in storage, package and transportation of the barbeque grill.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The present invention is to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantage of the conventional barbeque grill.

[0006] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a barbeque grill having a pivot foldable function.

[0007] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a barbeque grill, wherein the grill body is rotatable relative to the support frame until the grill body is retracted into the support frame, so that the grill body is fully hidden in the support frame, thereby folding the barbeque grill.

[0008] A further objective of the present invention is to provide a barbeque grill, wherein the grill body is fully hidden in the support frame when the barbeque grill is folded so as to reduce the volume of the barbeque grill largely, thereby facilitating storage, package and transportation of the barbeque grill.

[0009] In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a barbeque grill, comprising an upright support frame, and a grill body foldably and pivotally mounted on the support frame. The grill body is rotatable relative to the support frame until the grill body is retracted into the support frame, so that the grill body is fully hidden in the support frame, thereby folding the barbeque grill. The grill body has a first side pivotally mounted on the support frame by pivot shafts and a second side detachably secured to the support frame by locking members.

[0010] Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a barbeque grill in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the barbeque grill as shown in FIG. 1;

[0013] FIG. 3 is a partially exploded perspective view of the barbeque grill as shown in FIG. 1;

[0014] FIG. 4 is a schematic side plan operational view of the barbeque grill as shown in FIG. 3; and

[0015] FIG. 5 is a folded view of the barbeque grill as shown in FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0016] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a barbeque grill in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises an upright support frame 20, and a grill body 10 foldably and pivotally mounted on the support frame 20.

[0017] The support frame 20 includes a plurality of support posts 21 for supporting the grill body 10, and a bottom board 22 mounted between the support posts 21.

[0018] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the support frame 20 includes four support posts 21, wherein the grill body 10 has a first side 11 pivotally mounted on two of the four support posts 21 of the support frame 20 by two pivot shafts 32 and a second side 12 detachably secured to the other two of the four support posts 21 of the support frame 20 by two locking members 34.

[0019] Each of the two pivot shafts 32 is extended through the respective support post 21 of the support frame 20 and pivotally mounted on the first side 11 of the grill body 10.

[0020] Each of the two locking members 34 is extended through the respective support post 21 of the support frame 20 and has a threaded locking end 340 screwed into a screw bore 120 formed in the second side 12 of the grill body 10.

[0021] The grill body 10 contains food therein. The grill body 10 is mounted on top ends of the support posts 21 of the support frame 20.

[0022] Referring to FIG. 3, each of the two locking members 34 is detached from the second side 12 of the grill body 10 to release the grill body 10, so that the first side 11 of the grill body 10 is rotatable relative to the respective support post 21 of the support frame 20. At this time, the two pivot shafts 32 are in line with each other, so that the grill body 10 is rotatable relative to the support frame 20 about the two pivot shafts 32.

[0023] Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5 with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the grill body 10 is rotatable relative to the support frame 20 until the grill body 10 is retracted into the support frame 20, so that the grill body 10 is fully hidden in the support frame 20, thereby folding the barbeque grill.

[0024] At this time, when the grill body 10 is retracted into the support frame 20, the grill body 10 has a third side 13 detachably secured to the other two of the four support posts 21 of the support frame 20 by the two locking members 34 so that the grill body 10 is secured to the support frame 20 by the two locking members 34. Each of the two locking members 34 is extended through the respective support post 21 of the support frame 20 and the threaded locking end 340 is screwed into a screw bore 130 formed in the third side 13 of the grill body 10.

[0025] Accordingly, the grill body 10 is rotatable relative to the support frame 20 until the grill body 10 is retracted into the support frame 20, so that the grill body 10 is fully hidden in the support frame 20, thereby folding the barbeque grill. In addition, the grill body 10 is fully hidden in the support frame 20 when the barbeque grill is folded so as to reduce the volume of the barbeque grill largely, thereby facilitating storage, package and transportation of the barbeque grill.

[0026] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
