Abstract

A barbecue grill includes a main body, a plurality of burners mounted in the main body and each having a plurality of fire nozzles, a support seat mounted in the main body, and a placement member movably mounted on the main body and including a box slidably mounted on the support seat and having a plurality of air holes aligning with the fire nozzles of the burners, and a handle protruding from the main body for moving the box. Thus, the barbecue grill can cook the food by the gas burners and the charcoals so that a user can select the manner for cooking the food, thereby facilitating the user cooking the food.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The present invention relates to a barbecue grill, and more particularly to a barbecue grill that can cook the food by the gas burners and the charcoals.

[0003] Description of the Related Art

[0004] A conventional barbecue grill is used to broil food and comprises a main body having a periphery formed with a plurality of ventilating holes, a cooking grid mounted in the main body, a lid pivotally mounted on the top of the main body. Thus, when the lid covers the main body, the lid and the main body form a closed space to facilitate the cooking grid broiling and cooking the food. The conventional barbecue grill usually uses gas burners or charcoals as its fire source so as to cook the food.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The primary, objective of the present invention is to provide a barbecue grill that can cook the food by the gas burners and the charcoals so that a user can select the manner for cooking the food, thereby facilitating the user cooking the food.

[0006] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a barbecue grill, wherein the charcoals is received in the box of the placement member, and the placement member is movable relative to the main body so that the charcoals are placed into and removed from the main body easily and rapidly, thereby facilitating the user replenishing or removing the charcoals.

[0007] A further objective of the present invention is to provide a barbecue grill, wherein the placement member is movable relative to the main body by operation of the handle, thereby facilitating the user moving the placement member.

[0008] A further objective of the present invention is to provide a barbecue grill, wherein the air holes of the box align with the fire nozzles of the burners, so that the charcoals received in the box of the placement member are burned easily and rapidly.

[0009] In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a grill, comprising a main body, a plurality of burners mounted in the main body and each having a plurality of fire nozzles, a support seat mounted in the main body, and a placement member movably mounted on the main body and including a box slidably mounted on the support seat and having a plurality of air holes aligning with the fire nozzles of the burners, and a handle protruding from the main body for moving the box.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0018] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-5, a barbecue grill in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a hollow main body 10, a plurality of burners 14 mounted in the main body 10 and each having a plurality of fire nozzles 141, a plurality of gas switches 15 mounted on the main body 10 and connected to the burners 14 to control operation of the burners 14, a support seat 20 mounted in the main body 10, and a placement member 30 movably mounted on the main body 10 and including a box 40 slidably mounted on the support seat 20 for placing charcoals 50 (see FIG. 5) or the like and having a plurality of air holes 42 aligning with the fire nozzles 141 of the burners 14, and a handle 31 protruding from the main body 10 for moving the box 40.

[0019] The main body 10 has a first side 11 formed with a passage 16 and a plurality of threaded first locking holes 17 located under the passage 16 and a second side 12 formed with a plurality of threaded second locking holes 171. The gas switches 15 are partially protruded from the first side 11 of the main body 10.

[0020] The support seat 20 is located between the burners 14 and between the first side 11 and the second side 12 of the main body 10. The support seat 20 has a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional profile. The support seat 20 has a bottom plate 21 having two opposite sides formed with two side catch plates 22, a first end formed with a first resting plate 23 rested on the first side 11 of the main body 10 and a second end formed with a second resting plate 24 rested on the second side 12 of the main body 10. The bottom plate 21 of the support seat 20 has a plurality of axially extended elongated vent holes 211.

[0021] The first resting plate 23 of the support seat 20 is extended outward and spaced from the two side catch plates 22 so that the first end of the support seat 20 is an open end, and the second resting plate 24 of the support seat 20 is located between the two side catch plates 22 so that the second end of the support seat 20 is a closed end. The first resting plate 23 of the support seat 20 is rested on an outer portion of the first side 11 of the main body 10 and has a plurality of first through holes 231 secured to the first locking holes 17 of the main body 10 by a plurality of first threaded locking members 25. The second resting plate 24 of the support seat 20 is rested on an inner portion of the second side 12 of the main body 10 and has a plurality of second through holes 241 secured to the second locking holes 171 of the main body 10 by a plurality of second threaded locking members 251.

[0022] The placement member 30 has a connecting seat 32 mounted between the handle 31 and the box 40 and slidably mounted on the support seat 20. The connecting seat 32 of the placement member 30 has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross-sectional profile. The connecting seat 32 of the placement member 30 has a surface formed with a plurality of axially extended elongated vent holes 321 and two side walls 322 each provided with a protruding ear 323 that is movable to abut the first side 11 of the main body 10 so as to stop movement of the placement member 30.

[0023] The box 40 and the connecting seat 32 of the placement member 30 are extended through the passage 16 of the main body 10. The box 40 of the placement member 30 has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross-sectional profile. The box 40 of the placement member 30 has a bottom wall 43 and two opposite side walls 41. The bottom wall 43 of the box 40 has a plurality of transversely extended vent holes 431 perpendicular to the vent holes 211 of the support seat 20. The air holes 42 of the box 40 are formed in each of the two opposite side walls 41 of the box 40.

[0024] As shown in FIGS. 1-5, the charcoals 50 is received in the box 40 of the placement member 30, and the placement member 30 is driven by the handle 31 so that the placement member 30 is movable relative to the main body 10 to place the charcoals 50 into the main body 10. In such a manner, the flame ejected from the fire nozzles 141 of the burners 14 passes through the air holes 42 of the box 40 to burn the charcoals 50.

[0025] Thus, the vent holes 431 and 321 of the placement member 30 and the vent holes 211 of the support seat 20 can provide a ventilating effect to facilitate burning of the charcoals 50 and can also provide a heat dissipation effect. In addition, the vent holes 431 and 321 of the placement member 30 and the vent holes 211 of the support seat 20 reinforce the strength of the placement member 30 and the support seat 20, thereby preventing the placement member 30 and the support seat 20 from being deformed or warped.

[0026] As shown in FIG. 6, the air holes 42 of the box 40 are movable to align with the fire nozzles 141 of the burners 14.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 7, a protective hood 60 is mounted on an outside of the main body 10 to protect the main body 10.

[0028] Accordingly, the barbecue grill can cook the food by the gas burners 14 and the charcoals 50 so that a user can select the manner for cooking the food, thereby facilitating the user cooking the food. In addition, the charcoals 50 is received in the box 40 of the placement member 30, and the placement member 30 is movable relative to the main body 10 so that the charcoals 50 are placed into and removed from the main body 10 easily and rapidly, thereby facilitating the user replenishing or removing the charcoals 50. Further, the placement member 30 is movable relative to the main body 10 by operation of the handle 31, thereby facilitating the user moving the placement member 30. Further, the air holes 42 of the box 40 align with the fire nozzles 141 of the burners 14, so that the charcoals 50 received in the box 40 of the placement member 30 are burned easily and rapidly.

[0029] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A barbecue grill, comprising: a main body; a plurality of burners mounted in the main body and each having a plurality of fire nozzles; a support seat mounted in the main body; a placement member movably mounted on the main body and including a box slidably mounted on the support seat and having a plurality of air holes aligning with the fire nozzles of the burners, and a handle protruding from the main body for moving the box.

2. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 1, wherein the support seat is located between the burners.

3. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 1, wherein the main body has a first side and a second side, and the support seat is located between the first side and the second side of the main body.

4. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 1, wherein the support seat has a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional profile.

The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 3, wherein the support seat has a bottom plate having two opposite sides formed with two side catch plates, a first end formed with a first resting plate rested on the first side of the main body and a second end formed with a second resting plate rested on the second side of the main body.

6. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 5, wherein the bottom plate of the support seat has a plurality of axially extended elongated vent holes.

The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 5, wherein the first resting plate of the support seat is extended outward and spaced from the two side catch plates so that the first end of the support seat is an open end, and the second resting plate of the support seat is located between the two side catch plates so that the second end of the support seat is a closed end.

8. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 5, wherein the first resting plate of the support seat is rested on an outer portion of the first side of the main body, and the second resting plate of the support seat is rested on an inner portion of the second side of the main body.

The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 5, wherein the first side of the main body has a plurality of threaded first locking holes, the second side of the main body has a plurality of threaded second locking holes, the first resting plate of the support seat has a plurality of first through holes secured to the first locking holes of the main body by a plurality of first threaded locking members, and the second resting plate of the support seat has a plurality of second through holes secured to the second locking holes of the main body by a plurality of second threaded locking members.

10. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 1, wherein the placement member has a connecting seat mounted between the handle and the box and slidably mounted on the support seat.

11. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 10, wherein the connecting seat of the placement member has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross-sectional profile.

12. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 10, wherein the connecting seat of the placement member has a surface formed with a plurality of axially extended elongated vent holes.

13. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 10, wherein the connecting seat of the placement member has two side walls each provided with a protruding ear that is movable to abut a first side of the main body so as to stop movement of the placement member.

14. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 10, wherein the first side of the main body has a passage, and the box and the connecting seat of the placement member are extended through the passage of the main body

15. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 1, wherein the box of the placement member has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross-sectional profile.

16. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 6, wherein the box of the placement member has a bottom wall having a plurality of transversely extended vent holes perpendicular to the vent holes of the support seat.

17. The barbecue grill in accordance with claim 1, wherein the box of the placement member has two opposite side walls, and the air holes of the box are formed in each of the two opposite side walls of the box.
