[0002] The Aqua Gopher is a device to insert a wiring trace under a sidewalk for installing low voltage lights, water features, and other exterior devices requiring electrical wiring. The device will permit the permanent insertion of a 3/4 inch PVC pipe under a sidewalk.

[0003] The Aqua Gopher is a single all conclusive device with a "Female Hose Adapter", FIG. 1, on one end of a 1/2'' aluminum pipe and a "Flushable End Cap", FIG. 2, with a 1/8'' hole in the end. A soft "HPVC Foam Grip", FIG. 3, is provided for easy handling. A permanent Polly collar, FIG. 4 is a stop for the 3/4'' PVC pipe. [0004] Step 1: Cut a 3/4 inch PVC pipe to a length of 4 inches longer than the width of the sidewalk receiving the wiring trace. [0005] Step 2: Slide the 3/4 inch PVC pipe onto the output end of the Aqua Gopher up to the collar. [0006] Step 3: Place the Aqua Gopher against the dirt just under the sidewalk. (See FIG. 6) [0007] Step 4: Turn the water supply on. (Water is supplied to the Aqua Gopher from a garden hose attached to a domestic water supply with approximately 30 psi of water pressure. The output end of the garden hose is attached to the 3/4 inch "Female Hose Thread (FHT) Adapter.)

[0008] The water pressure will cut through the dirt and allow the 3/4 inch PVC pipe to be pushed under the sidewalk. When the 3/4 inch pipe extends about 2 inches from the sidewalk edge the water is turned off. The Aqua Gopher is removed and the 3/4 inch PVC pipe remains under the sidewalk. The 3/4 inch PVC pipe can now be used as a wire trace for running low voltage wire under a sidewalk.
