Gift card box for CDs, DVDs and Games
Abstract
The Gift Card Box is a single unit designed to combine a
`greetings card` and a `gift box` all-in-one. It is able to contain
a gift of either a CD, DVD or Game (depending upon the Gift Card
Box size) as well as acting as a greetings card. The Gift Card Box
is an all-in-one unit made up entirely from a single sheet of
carton board or heavyweight paper and replaces the need for a
consumer to buy separate greetings card and gift wrapping material
when giving either a CD, DVD or Game as a gift.

Claims
1. The Gift Card Box is a new unit designed to gift package either
CDs, DVDs or Games.
2. The Gift Card Box is a new unit designed to act as a combined
`greetings card` and `gift box`
3. The Gift Card Box is able to contain a gift of either a CD, DVD
or Game (depending upon the Gift Card Box size) as well acting as a
greetings card.
4. The Gift Card Box is an all-in-one unit made up entirely from a
single sheet of carton board or heavyweight paper and replaces the
need for a consumer to buy separate greetings card and gift
wrapping material when giving either a CD, DVD or Game as a
gift.
5. With the `Gift Card Box` these gifts (CDs, DVDs and Games) can
be packaged and presented as a greetings card/box in an all-in-one
package; thus saving the consumer money and time when compared to
purchasing and assembling the older traditional elements of a
greetings card and wrapping material which are used to give a media
product as a gift.
6. The main appearance of the design is a box with an integral
folded flap at the front which acts as the card front and internal
writing area inside for `greeting's wordings etc`. The box has
folding flaps at the top and bottom to secure the gift inside.
7. Traditional greetings cards and traditional folded gift boxes
have been available for some time now. The Gift Card Box comprises
of improvements that combine these 2 elements in to one single
unit, and is also manufactured in an improved way from a single
sheet (i.e. without the need to glue those 2 elements
together).
8. CD, DVD and Games boxes are sold in various folded formats. The
improved element of the Gift Card Box is that it is designed as an
end user product for a consumer to gift package any CD, DVD or game
in an attractive, easy to use and cost saving form.
9. Folded boxes have been available for some time now. The Gift
Card Box is an improvement from existing folding boxes in respect
that it is a new concept for Gift Packaging. (i.e. a specific
single unit that acts as a greetings card and gift box for CDs,
DVDs and Games).

WRITTEN DESCRIPTION AND SUMMARY
[0010] The Gift Card Box is a unit designed to act as a `greetings
card` and a combined `gift box`
[0011] It is able to contain a gift of either a CD, DVD or Game
(depending upon the Gift Card Box size) as well acting as a
greetings card.
[0012] The Gift Card Box is an all-in-one unit made up entirely
from a single sheet of carton board or heavyweight paper and
replaces the need for a consumer to buy separate greetings card and
gift wrapping material when giving either a CD, DVD or Game as a
gift.
[0013] The main appearance of the design is a box with an integral
folded flap at the front which acts as the card front and internal
writing area inside for `greeting's wordings etc`.
[0014] The box has folding flaps at the top and bottom to secure
the gift inside.
Construction Process
[0015] The Gift Card Box is made from a single sheet of carton
board or heavyweight paper.
[0016] It will be printed, die cut and folded as per marks on FIG.
1.1 and FIG. 1.2
[0017] It will then be machine glued and finished as per folds and
glue points on FIG. 1.3
[0018] The next stage is a small amount of hand assembly, where the
box is pushed out and the folding flaps and secured top and bottom
to form the finished product as per FIG. 1.4
[0019] The Gift Card Box is then ready for retail sale
Product Use
[0020] The Gift Card Box will be purchased by a consumer in a ready

box (top and bottom) and the front `card` flap with the 3 circular
crystalline stickers FIG. 1.7 which will be supplied with the Gift
Card Box.
[0021] The Gift Card Box is now ready to be presented as a

Product Innovations
[0022] Traditionally, gifts such as a CDs, DVDs or Games needed to
be wrapped in gift wrap/box and a separate greetings card would
need to be purchased for the purpose of a gift.
[0023] Now with the event of the new invention the `Gift Card Box`
these gifts can be boxed and presented as a greetings box in an
all-in-one package, thus saving the consumer money and time when
purchasing and assembling the elements needed to give a media
product as a gift. As far as i am aware no product exists to fill
this void until now.
