Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a sock (socks) having a
part for preventing a slipping-down phenomenon of a sock, and in
particular to a sock having a part for preventing a slipping-down
phenomenon of a sock in which a flexible material such as a silicon
resin, a rubber resin, etc., known as a non-harmful material, is
formed at an inner side surface of a next part of a sock.
[0003] 2. Description of the Background Art
[0004] Generally, socks have been used for covering a human body
from toes to legs. A woven sock neck part is formed at an opening
of a sock with a certain elastic force. A user wears the socks by
inputting his feet into the socks through the openings formed at
the sock necks. In the worn state, the sock necks are designed to
elastically tighten the legs for thereby preventing the socks from
being taken out of the feet.
[0005] However, since the socks are repeatedly used and washed, the
elastic forces of the sock neck parts of the socks are lost, the
socks may lose elastic forces and may be extended, so that the
socks may be slipped down along the legs.
[0006] In order to overcome the above problems, as shown in FIG. 1,
a pressurizing band 5 is attached at a neck part 2 of a sock 1 for
thereby pressurizing a user's leg. In this case, an over
pressurizing force is applied to legs when wearing the socks, so
that a blood circulation becomes bad. The pressurized skin may be
dented for thereby causing itches.
[0007] In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, a new type sock is
disclosed to overcome the problems encountered in the conventional
art. Namely, the neck part 2 of the sock is vertically cut away,
and then a Velcro band 6 is horizontally provided at the cut-away
portions for thereby adjusting a pressurizing force. However, in
this case, a Velcro band is exposed to the outside of the sock and
is caught by clothes. When a user wears shorter trousers or skirts,
an outer look may be bad.
[0008] The above-described conventional arts are described in the
Korean registered utility model Nos. 20-0258930 and 20-0379325. As
a prior art related to the present invention, there is the U.S.
Pat. No. 5,742,945 (issue date: Apr. 28, 1998) entitled "Sock with
Shin guard fastener".
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to
overcome the problems encountered in the conventional art.
[0010] It is another object of the present invention to provide a
sock having a flexible part capable of preventing a slipping-down
phenomenon of a sock, with the flexible part being provided at an
inner side surface of a neck part of a sock, and with the flexible
part being made of a certain material such as a silicon resin, a
rubber resin, etc. known as a non-harmful material.
[0011] To achieve the above objects, in socks each having an opened
neck part, there is provided a sock having a part for preventing a
slipping-down phenomenon of a sock, comprising a slipping-down
prevention part which is closely contacted with an inner side
surface of the neck part of the sock.
[0012] Preferably, the slipping-down prevention part is formed of
smooth material coating parts protruded from an inner side surface
of the neck part of the sock.
[0013] Preferably, the slipping-down prevention part is formed in a
structure of a slim band with stripe patterns protruded from an
inner side surface of the neck part of the sock.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0021] The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be
described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0022] FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating a sock according
to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4A is a cross
sectional view illustrating a coating part with respect to a sock
of which a neck part is formed of dual layers in the socks of FIG.
3, FIG. 4B is a cross sectional view illustrating a coating part
with respect to a sock of which a neck part is formed of a single
layer in the socks of FIG. 3, and FIGS. 5A and 5B are perspective
views illustrating a sock according to another embodiment of the
present invention.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 3, a sock 1 includes a foot sole part 4, an
upper part 3, and a neck part 2. A slipping-down prevention part 10
is attached at an inner side surface of the neck part 2 of the sock
1 in order to prevent the sock 1 from being slipped down in a state
that a user wears the socks 1.
[0024] Here, the slipping-down prevention part 10 is configured in
such a manner that a plurality of coating parts 14 are attached at
an inner layer 13 of a sock at regular intervals, with the coating
parts 14 being protruded at regular intervals, by coating a certain
flexible material such as a silicon resin, a rubber resin, etc, so
that the coating material can closely contact with a user's skin,
with the flexible material is not harmful to a human body. At this
time, a mixture manufactured by mixing a certain smooth material
with an adhesive may be used for fabricating a slipping-down
prevention part in order to enhance an adhering property of the
smooth material.
[0025] As shown in FIG. 4A, in the case that the next part 2 of the
sock 1 is formed of double layers having an outer layer 12 and an
inner layer 13 formed by folding a source cloth, a plurality of
coating parts 14 are attached at the inner layer 13 at regular
intervals, so that a certain abnormal part does not appear on the
outer side of the sock. In addition, as shown in FIG. 4B, in the
case that the neck part 2 of the sock 1 is formed of a single
layer, a plurality of the coating parts 14 are attached at the
inner layer 13, so that a certain abnormal part does not appear on
the outer side of the sock.
[0026] FIGS. 5A and 5B are views illustrating the socks according
to another embodiment of the present invention.
[0027] As shown in FIG. 5a, stripe pattern slim bands 15, at least
two bands, which are formed of a plurality of stripes, are
horizontally formed at an inner side surface of the neck part 2 of
the sock 1 with the stripe pattern slim bands 15 operating as the
slipping-down prevention part 10. As shown in FIG. 6B, in the
slipping-down prevention part 10, the stripe pattern slim bands 16,
which are formed of a plurality of stripes, are vertically formed
at an inner side surface of the neck part 2. In particular, the
slim band 15, operating as the slipping-down prevention part 10,
has a vertical direction force even when the neck part 2 is putted
when the socks are worn or taken out of the feet, so that it is
possible to prevent the slim band 15 from being detached from the
neck part 2.
[0028] Here, the slim band 15 is generally attached in a silicon
attaching method or in a non-slip method in which heat is fast
applied.
[0029] The slim band 15 is preferably formed of a smooth silicon
resin, a smooth rubber resin, a smooth urethane resin, etc, which
do not cause any skin troubles and are capable of applying a
certain close contacting force to the skin.
[0030] As shown in FIG. 3 or FIG. 5, the slipping-down prevention
part 10 may be formed in a non-slip method in which a gel type
material is attached at an inner side of the sock by a screen
method, and the gel type material is dried through a heater or may
be formed in a silicon attaching method. Therefore, the resin state
smooth material is solidified, with the smooth material being
penetrated between the tissues of the source cloth of the socks.
The resin type smooth material is not escaped during the washing
operation. In particular, the resin type smooth material is not
separated even when the socks are repeatedly washed and are
repeatedly contacted with the skins by increasing an adhering force
with the source cloth of the socks by mixing an adhesive with the
resin type smooth material.
[0031] In addition, a certain functional material, known as a
useful material to the human health such as anti-bacteria material
or an anti-moisture material (bio ceramic, Chitosan, Tourmaline,
etc.), may be inputted into a smooth resin or adhesive mixture
which forms the coating part 14 or the slim band 15. Therefore, in
the present invention, a wearing feeling and a user's health are
significantly enhanced with an anti-bacterial operation and
anti-moisture operation at the next parts of the socks.
[0032] As described above, according to the present invention, it
is possible to prevent the socks from being slipped down along the
legs in such a manner that the slipping-down prevention part
provided at the sock neck parts is closely contacted with the legs
when wearing the socks.
[0033] In addition, a coating part is formed of a certain material,
which has a good wearing feeling and does not cause any skin
troubles, overcoming the problems encountered in the conventional
art.
[0034] In particular, since the slipping-down prevention part
according to the present invention is attached at an inner layer of
the source cloth of the socks, the slipping-down prevention part is
not exposed to the outside. In addition, the same outer look as the
conventional socks is maintained.
[0035] As the present invention may be embodied in several forms
without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics
thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described
examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing
description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be
construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the
appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that
fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of
such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the
