Description
CLAIM FOR PRIORITY
[0001] This application is a Continuation-In-Part of prior
application Ser. No. 10/975,115.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] 1) Field of the Invention
[0003] The present invention relates to a vertical folding bar
system, saving more then seventy five percent, providing a user the
ability to hang objects in an efficient and compressed manner,
while allowing fast and convenient access, under automatic
control.
[0004] 2) Description of the Related Art
[0005] Expandable storage space for clothing has been in big demand
in household and public facilities. Storage of a high quantity of
material in limited space is an ongoing issue many face. Inventors
have created several types of folding bars for hangable objects.
The disadvantages of the current art are its inability to store
large amounts of clothing and subsequent impact on a user in
opening and closing a heavily stored expandable closet.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The present invention provides a new and improved system of
an automatic closet system, which by its design provides the
ability to hold heavy objects, which are spread apart, allowing a
user access to materials without having to manually open and close
a heavily stocked closet.
[0007] The automatic closet system can be used in a horizontally
extendable fashion, which can be attached to a wall, used as
stand-alone unit or built-in into a wall, for storing objects. The
closet, fully extended, horizontally, provides convenient access to
stored clothing, and then, upon closing it, automatically, it will
be horizontally folded back, conserving space in a limited
environment.
[0008] The above objects and advantages of the present invention,
as well as others, are described in greater detail in the following
description, when taken in conjunction with the accompanying
drawing of illustrative embodiments.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0009] FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of the vertical folding bar
system.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0010] The present invention is directed to an improved system and
which enables a user to hang objects on in an efficient and
compressed manner, it also allows the user fast and convenient
access to hanged objects as soon as the bar is fully opened. The
vertical design allows the user to hang heavy objects and provides
access to said objects, by an included motorized system.
[0011] The present invention can be used in conjunction with a
frame to provide a storage closet to enable a user to store
hangable units like: hangable clothing, blue prints sheets, poster
sheets and the like in horizontally extendable closet in a very
compact and efficient way for space saving purposes. The closet can
be attached to a wall, used as a stand-alone unit or built-in into
a wall, in household or public facilities. The closet can be fully
extended, to provide easy and convenient access to clothing, by
pulling a folding bar support member away from another, which is in
fixed position, it unfolds the internal bar, that holds the
hangers, to its horizontal and locked position. The preferred
embodiments of the improved system and method are fully and
detailed illustrated and described in the following paragraphs.
[0012] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a vertical folding bar system 100
includes, a motorized system, said motorized system includes at
least one pulley 102 and at least one motor 104. The vertical
folding bar system 100 includes at least one folding bar 106, said
at least one folding bar 106 includes a plurality of built-in
notches 108 and a pivot point 110. The pivot point 110 is connected
to said at least one pulley 102 by a cable 112, allowing for
expanding and folding by said at least one motor 104.
[0013] The at least one folding bar 106 is connected to a plurality
of folding bar support members 114 by a pair of hinges 116 on both
ends of said at least one folding bar 106, said plurality of
folding bar support members 114 are also connected to each other
via a connecting cable 120, providing support during expansion. In
one embodiment, said plurality of folding bar support members 114,
include a plurality of wheels 118. In another embodiment, one of
said plurality of folding bar support members 114 includes a
plurality of wheels 118. In another embodiment the closet can be
high enough to hang dresses or to double folding bars for short
clothing.
[0014] FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate the at least one folding bar 106.
The at least one folding bar 106 is connected to a plurality of
folding bar support members 114 by a pair of hinges 116 on both
ends of said at least one folding bar 106. The at least one folding
bar 106 includes a plurality of built-in notches 108 and a pivot
point 110.
[0015] In use, said vertical folding bar system 100 provides an
efficient use of a limited space. The system 100 includes the
automatic motorized system, where said automatic motorized system
includes said at least one pulley 102 and said at least one motor
104. The at least one pulley 102 is connected to said at least one
motor 104 and to said pivot 110 of said folding bar 106 by said
cable 112. The automatic motorized system can be triggered to
rotate by a user in a first direction, opening said plurality of
folding bar support members 114 and exposing said at least one
folding bar 106 and said plurality of built-in notches 108 for
product hanging.
[0016] The at least one folding bar 106 is connected to a plurality
of folding bar support members 114 by a pair of hinges 116 on both
ends of said at least one folding bar 106. In one embodiment, said
plurality of folding bar support members 114, include a plurality
of
[0017] wheels 118. In another embodiment, one of said plurality of
folding bar support members 114 includes a plurality of wheels 118.
The plurality of wheels 118 enable the user easy and provide
efficient opening of said vertical folding bar system 100. In
another embodiment said plurality of folding bar support members
114 contain a mirror or other decorative structure that is designed
to assimilate into a home environment.
[0018] The vertical folding bar system 100, in one embodiment can
be built into a wall, allowing one of said plurality of folding bar
support members 114 to extend outwards, said exposing said at least
one folding bar 106. The plurality of folding bar support members
114 are connected to each other via a connecting cable 120,
providing support. In another embodiment said vertical folding bar
system is secured to a wall by a plurality of horizontal support
straps.
[0019] The advantage of said vertical folding bar system 100 is
that said system provides storage of heavy materials in a limited
space environment. Moreover, said vertical folding bar system 100
allows easy access to said materials through an automatic opening
via a motor system. The motor system eliminates the stress of
opening and closing a vertical folding bar system 100 stored with
heavy items.
[0020] The vertical folding bar system 100 is designed as to fit
into a wall, allowing the system to assimilate to the home
environment. The thickness is essentially the thickness of the
wall, allowing a user to maximize storage space while conforming to
the structure of the abode. The vertical folding bar system 100 can
also be used in the outdoor environment and in large warehouses
where a plurality of systems can be interwoven.
[0021] While certain exemplary embodiments have been described and
shown in the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that
such embodiments are merely illustrative and not restrictive of the
current invention, and that this invention is not restricted to the
specific constructions and arrangements shown and described since
modification may occur to those ordinarily skilled in the art.
