Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] (a) Technical Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a manufacture of a cap
decoration of multi-layer 3D effect, particularly to one that is
available for manufacturing a cap insignia having multi-layer 3D
effect, which is adapted to combine to a cap to enhance the
aesthetic feeling of the cap.
[0003] (b) Description of the Prior Art
[0004] General cap decorations are made via embroidery, including
flat stitches, stereo stitches, etc. Flat stitches are performed in
the pattern to be embroidered such that the thread directly goes
through the embroidered fabric to spread all over the embroidered
pattern. Stereo stitches are performed in the pattern with a stuff
padded under the threads, in order to make the embroidery pattern a
convex effect.
[0005] Conventional stereo embroidery is processed by way of
stacking, i.e. starting from a pattern on the base fabric, which is
in a relatively small size, stacking up the threads layer by layer
until the stacked-up threads have a certain height, thereby the
embroidery pattern will have a stereo effect. However, as the
threads must be stacked up layer by layer, the thread materials,
the stitches and the processing time are considerably
consuming.
[0006] Accordingly, to obtain a stereo aesthetic feeling for a cap
decoration or insignia without wasting too many/much threads and
time, subsequently to improve the procedure of manufacturing a cap,
the invention has disclosed a novel procession, which may
accomplish 3D cap decorations of various effect for applying to
caps via sewing to integrally combine together, thereby enhancing
the novelty and vividness of the caps.

be applicable to manufacture of a cap insignia of multi-layer 3D
effect, thereby enhancing the integral processing efficiency, and
concomitantly reducing the manufacture cost.
[0008] The secondary object of the invention is to provide a
manufacture of a cap decoration of multi-layer 3D effect, which can
be applicable to manufacture of a cap insignia of multi-layer 3D
effect, such that the cap insignia may permit the stylized pattern
to present a visual effect of far and near, and perform a vivid
theme, thereby more attracting the consumers.
[0009] To obtain the above objects, the technique adopted by the
present invention refers to compounding materials, such as denim,
twill, weave fabric, knit fabric, elastic fabric, leather,
polyurethane (PU), transparent PU (TPU), paper, silicon, and
plastic, via integrally adhering or sewing the layers together,
such that the layer materials, which may have various colors but
the same material, the same color but various materials, various
colors and materials, or the same color and material, can be
combined to form a base board. Subsequently, by way of a cutting
mold or computerized laser, the base board is cut to obtain cut
pieces of specific shape, thereby sewing single or pluralities of
the cut pieces to the cap to accomplish a visual effect that the
edges of the cut pieces would present multi-layer colors or
materials. Combination of the present invention to the cap would
make the cap enriched of feelings of novelty, vividness and
uniqueness.

[0026] The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments
only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or
configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following
description provides a convenient illustration for implementing
exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the
described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement
of the elements described without departing from the scope of the
invention as set forth in the appended claims.
[0027] As shown in FIG. 1, the present invention is firstly
required the preparation of a base board 10, which can be a
combination of multi-layer materials, including denim, twill, weave
fabric, knit fabric, elastic fabric, leather, polyurethane (PU),
transparent PU (TPU), paper, silicon, and plastic in form of a
sheet. The embodiment shown in FIG. 1 has various stacked-up
materials a, b, c & d.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 2, a cutter 30 is used to get cut pieces 20
of a specific shape from the base board 10. The mentioned cutter 30
may be a cutter mold (not shown) for integrally cutting pluralities
of cut pieces at one time. Alternatively, a computerized laser can
be utilized to obtain cut pieces of the same shape.
[0029] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the cut pieces 20 are sewn onto
the cap 50 via a sewing needle 40 and threads 41. Therefore, it is
apparent that the side edge of the cut pieces 20 has multi-layer of
various materials a, b, c & d or colors, thereby accomplishing
a cap insignia of stereo effect for being sewn to the front piece
51 of the cap 50 (as shown in FIG. 4) to present a visual feeling
of vividness which is out of the ordinary headgear.
[0030] Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, adopting the afore-mentioned
procedures, the invention can derive various manufacture, i.e.
using the cutter 30 to cut the multi-layer baseboard 10 to obtain
cut pieces 61 of specific shape; cutting down cut pieces (62, 63,
64, 65) of the same shape but various sizes; adhering all the cut
pieces (61, 62, 63, 64, 65) layer by layer to form a stair-type cap
insignia 60 (as shown in FIG. 7), and then using the sewing needle
40 and threads 41 of a computerized sewing machine to sew the
stair-type cap insignia 60 to an appropriate position of the front
piece 51 of the cap 50, thereby accomplishing a cap 52 having a
stair-type cap insignia 60 (as shown in FIG. 8).
[0031] Referring to FIGS. 9 and 10, as the shown preferred

piece 81 of a transparent material is adhered onto the hollowed-out
cut piece 82, while a complete unhallowed-out cut piece 83 is
adhered to the underside of the hollowed-out cut piece 82, such
that the cut piece 81 of transparent material, the hollowed-out cut
piece 82 and the unhallowed-out cut piece 83 will combine together
to form a cap decoration 80 of a 3D style. The cap decoration 80 is
sewn to the appropriate position of the front piece 51 of the cap
54 to accomplish a cap 54 of a novel style.
[0033] Referring to FIGS. 13 and 14, in a further embodiment of the
same technical concept, the hollowed-out cut pieces 93 can
alternatively be prepared as a pattern area having hollowed-out
portions 94 which can be filled with a multi-layer cut piece 91 of
various colors and/or a multi-layer cut piece 92 of various
materials. The combination of the multi-layer cut piece 91/92 of
various colors/materials and the hollowed-out cut piece 93 will
form a cap decoration 90 of a stereo inlay style. The cap
decoration 90 is sewn to the front piece 51 of the cap 55 to
accomplish a cap 55 of a novel style.
[0034] Concluded above, the invention relates to combining
multi-layer sheets of various materials and colors to form a base
board, cutting down cut pieces from this base board to present a
gradational stereo feeling. Applying the cut pieces of gradational
stereo effect to derive various cap insignias and cap decorations,
and subsequently sewing them to a cap to enhance the cap quality
and its diversification style.
[0035] It will be understood that each of the elements described
above, or two or more together may also find a useful application
in other types of methods differing from the type described
above.
