Abstract
A plastic floor brick includes a plastic layer having a
patterned first side and a second side. An absorbing layer is
disposed on the second side of the plastic layer. The absorbing
layer is made of foam rubber such that the absorbing layer provides
a buffer effect. An adhering layer is disposed on the absorbing
layer opposite to the plastic layer. The adhering layer is thin and
made of thermoplastic glue such that the plastic floor brick can be

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a plastic floor brick, and
more particularly to a plastic floor brick that contains a
absorbing layer. Consequently, the person, who steps on the plastic
floor brick, feels comfortable.
[0003] 2. Description of Related Art
[0004] A conventional plastic floor brick (20) in accordance with
the prior art shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 comprises a plastic layer (21)
having a patterned first side and a second side. An adhering layer
(22) is applied to the second side of the plastic layer (21). The
adhering layer (22) is made of pressure sensitive hot-melt adhesive
such that the adhering layer (22) causes a great adhering effect to
securely position the conventional plastic floor brick (20) on the
floor (A) when being pressed in an environment with a specific
temperature.
[0005] However, the conventional plastic floor brick (20) has
several disadvantages as follow.
[0006] 1. The adhering layer (22) is directly applied on the second
side of the plastic layer (21). The adhering layer (22) is
flexible, but has no absorbing effect. With reference to FIG. 6,
the surface of the conventional plastic floor brick (20) may be
raised due to the shape of the rough floor (A). As a result, the
person, who steps on the plastic floor brick, feels
comfortable.
[0007] 2. The conventional plastic floor brick (20) is securely
positioned on the floor (A) due to the adhering layer (22) that is
made of pressure sensitive hot-melt adhesive. Consequently, the
adhered conventional plastic floor brick (20) can not be fully
lifted after a crooked operation. With reference to FIG. 7, the
operator needs to use a tool to destroy the crooked conventional
plastic floor brick (20). As a result the crooked conventional
plastic floor brick (20) is wasted.
[0008] 3. The broken conventional plastic floor brick (20) is hard
to be replaced. In addition, the operator may destroy the plastic
floor brick (20) adjacent to the broken plastic floor brick (20)
when detaching the broken plastic floor brick (20).
[0009] Some marketed floor pads are made of foam rubber and
connected to one another to cover the floor. The foam rubber may
provide a comfortable to person's sole. However, this kind of floor
pad can not be secured on the floor. It is very inconvenient when
being moved.
[0010] With reference to FIG. 8, another conventional plastic brick
(40) may be provided to be adhered on a wall by resin (B). However,
the resin (B) can not be equally applied on the wall. As a result,
the adhered plastic brick (40) may downward move due to the resin
(B) that is not fully dried. Consequently, the conventional plastic
brick (40) is inconveniently assembled.
[0011] The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate
the disadvantages of the conventional plastic floor bricks.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0012] The main objective of the present invention is to provide an
improved plastic floor brick that provides a comfortable feel to a
person who steps on the plastic floor brick.
[0013] To achieve the objective, the plastic floor brick in
accordance with the present invention comprises a plastic layer
having a patterned first side and a second side. An absorbing layer
is disposed on the second side of the plastic layer. The absorbing
layer is made of foam rubber such that the absorbing layer provides
a buffer effect. An adhering layer is disposed on the absorbing
layer opposite to the plastic layer. The adhering layer is thin and
made of thermoplastic glue such that the plastic floor brick can be
repeatedly adhered. The thermoplastic glue contains petroleum oil,
petroleum resin, thermoplastic rubber and antioxidant.
[0014] Further benefits and advantages of the present invention
will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed
description with appropriate reference to the accompanying
drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0015] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a plastic floor brick in
accordance with the present invention;
[0016] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional of the plastic floor brick when
being adhered on a floor that has a rough surface;
[0017] FIG. 3 is an operational view of the plastic floor brick
when being lifted;
[0018] FIG. 4 is a perspective operational view of the plastic
floor brick when being adhered on a wall;
[0019] FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a conventional plastic floor
brick in accordance with the prior art;
[0020] FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional of the plastic floor brick when
being adhered on a floor that has a rough surface;
[0021] FIG. 7 is an operational view of the conventional plastic
floor brick when being detached; and
[0022] FIG. 8 is a perspective operational view of the conventional
plastic floor brick when being adhered on a wall.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0023] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-2, a
plastic floor brick (10) in accordance with the present invention
comprises a plastic layer (11) having a patterned first side and a
second side. An absorbing layer (12) is disposed on the second side
of the plastic layer (11). The absorbing layer (12) is made of foam
rubber such that the absorbing layer (12) provides a buffer effect.
An adhering layer (13) is disposed on the absorbing layer (12)
opposite to the plastic layer (11). The adhering layer is thin and
made of thermoplastic glue such that the plastic floor brick (10)
of the present invention can be repeatedly adhered. The
thermoplastic glue contains petroleum oil, petroleum resin,
thermoplastic rubber and antioxidant.
[0024] The adhering layer (13) of the present invention provides a
low adhering effect. The weight of the person, who steps on the
plastic floor brick (10), can promote the connection between the
plastic floor brick (10) and the floor (A) such that the plastic
floor brick (10) of the present invention can not be moved after
being stepped. With reference to FIG. 3, the adhering layer (13) of
the present invention simply provides a low adhering effect such
that the operator can easily lift the crooked plastic floor brick
(10) when assembling the plastic floor brick (10) of the present
invention. In addition, the operator can easily lift and replace
the broken plastic floor brick (10) without destroying the plastic
floor bricks (10) which are adjacent to the broken plastic floor
brick (10).
[0025] The absorbing layer (12) is made of foam rubber such that
the absorbing layer (12) provides a buffer effect. As a result, the
absorbing layer (12) provides a comfortable feel to the person who
steps on the plastic floor brick (10) of the present invention.
[0026] With reference to FIG. 4, the plastic floor brick (10) of
the present invention can be adhered on the wall and the resin is
unnecessary to the present invention. As a result, the operator can
easily adhere the plastic floor brick (10) to the wall.
[0027] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its
preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other
possible modifications and variations can be made without departing
from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter
claimed.
