Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a packing box and, more particularly, to a packing box that is suitable for both packaging and display purposes.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] Most products require additional packaging for both protection and appearance.

[0005] For new products, manufacturers may occasionally hold exhibits to explain the special characteristics and functions of the product to customers or consumers.

[0006] However, the manufacturers need to make two different packages for selling and display; one cannot be replaced by the other, and this induces additional costs.

[0007] Therefore, it is desirable to provide a packing box for packaging and display purposes to mitigate and/or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] An objective of present invention is to provide a packing box for packaging and display purposes, which can reduce manufacturing cost.

[0009] In order to achieve the above-mentioned objective, the packing box suitable for packaging and display purpose of the present invention comprises: two triangular boxes adjacently arranged, each triangular box having a bottom surface, a vertical surface, an oblique surface and two triangular surfaces, the bottom surface, the vertical surface, the oblique surface and the two triangular surfaces composing an inner space, at least one of the oblique surfaces of the two triangular boxes having a recess, and the recess having a holding portion therein.

[0010] The packing box of the present invention further comprises a covering having a shape coincided with a combined shape of the two triangular boxes adjacently arranged side by side and capable of covering the two triangular boxes.

[0011] Therefore, the packing box of the present invention utilizes triangular boxes to provide packaging and display functionalities at the same time, and the covering is easy to assemble onto the triangular boxes, so it can reduce manufacturing cost.

[0012] The two triangular boxes both can be a right triangular box which can be arranged in abreast to form a cubic (placing the two oblique surfaces to each other) or an isosceles triangle (placing the vertical surfaces to each other) to form a parallelogram, but two triangular boxes are not limited in right triangular boxes.

[0013] Moreover, the two oblique surfaces or the two vertical surfaces of the two triangular boxes are connected at an adjacent side, so that the two triangular boxes can use the side as a pivot to open and close for display purposes.

[0014] At least one of the oblique surfaces of the two triangular boxes has a cutting line for insertion of a product indication tag.

[0015] Furthermore, the covering can be a transparent plastic shell or a semi-transparent shell.

[0016] Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0017] FIG. 1 is an assembly drawing of a preferred embodiment according to the present invention.

[0018] FIG. 2 is a schematic drawing of opening two triangular boxes of the embodiment according to the present invention.

[0019] FIG. 3 is a display schematic of two triangular boxes of the embodiment according to the present invention.

[0020] FIG. 4 is another assembly drawing of a preferred embodiment according to the present invention.

[0021] FIG. 5 is another schematic drawing of opening two triangular boxes of the embodiment according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

First Embodiment

[0022] Please refer to FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. The packaging box of the present invention comprises two triangular boxes 1 and a covering 2, as shown in FIG. 1. In FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, each triangular box 1 is a right triangle box, and comprises a bottom surface 11, a vertical surface 12, an oblique surface 13 and two triangular surfaces 14. The bottom surface 11, the vertical surface 12, the oblique surface 13 and the two triangular surfaces 14 of the triangular box 1 compose an inner space 15.

[0023] One of the two oblique surfaces 13 of the two triangular boxes 1 has a recess 131, and the recess 131 has a holding portion 132 therein for holding a cellular phone 3. Another one of the oblique surfaces 13 has a cutting line 135, which is used for inserting a product indication tag 134. The two oblique surfaces 13 are connected at an adjacent side 133, so that the two triangular boxes 1 can use the side 133 as a pivot to open and close for display purposes.

[0024] The covering 2 is a transparent plastic shell, has a shape coincided with the combined rectangular shape of the two triangular boxes 1 adjacently arranged side by side, and is able to cover the two triangular boxes 1.

Second Embodiment

[0025] Please refer FIG. 4 and FIG. 5. The packaging box of the present invention comprises two triangular boxes 4 and a covering 5, as shown in FIG. 4. In FIG. 5, each triangular box 4 is a right triangle box and comprises a bottom surface 41, a vertical surface 42, an oblique surface 43 and two triangular surfaces 44. The bottom surface 41, the vertical surface 42, the oblique surface 43 and the two triangular surfaces 44 of the triangular box 4 compose an inner space 45.

[0026] One of the two oblique surfaces 43 of the two triangular boxes 4 has a recess 431, and the recess 431 has a holding portion 432 therein for holding a cellular phone 6. The same oblique surface 43 has a cutting line 435, and is used for inserting a product indication tag 434. The two oblique surfaces 43 are connected at an adjacent side 433, so that the two triangular boxes 4 can use the side 433 as a pivot to open and close for display purposes.

[0027] The covering 5 is a semi-transparent plastic shell, having a shape coincided with the combined rectangular shape of the two triangular boxes 4 adjacently arranged side by side, and is able to cover the two triangular boxes 4.

[0028] Although the present invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
