Claims
1. A pallet comprising a base, a paper cellular structure, and a
lid, wherein: the base, being made of plastic, wood, plastic-wood,
or plastic-stone, including a tray-like structure with feet formed
underneath; the paper cellular structure, being fastened in the
tray-like structure; the lid, being fixed on the base to form a
light-weight pallet.
2. The pallet as recited in claim 1, wherein each foot being a
hollow cylinder with a paper cylinder inserted.
3. The pallet as recited in claim 1, wherein the shape of the paper
cellular structure being fixed by adhering krafts to the top and
the bottom thereon.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] (a) Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to an improvement of a pallet
and more particularly for the pallet being applied to freight
loading to or unloading from a vehicle, whether inside or outside a
workshop or a warehouse.
[0003] (b) Description of the Prior Art
[0004] With the sharp increase of international trading, freight
delivery increases dramatically, too. It is popular to load freight
on a pallet and use a forklift or a crane to move the pallet to a
container, a truck, or a ship etc. Using pallets has advantages of
simplifying goods loading and unloading process, saving time for
the operation, and allowing freight being stacked up, etc.
[0005] It is known that wood pallets share the market up to 90%,
with others such as plastic pallets, metal pallets, and
plastic-wood pallets share the remaining.
[0006] It is certainly uneconomic and environmental unfriendly that
a tree can only manufacture six conventional pallets. In general, a
conventional pallet weighs at least 18 Kg and is usually
transporting with the freight, causing a reduction of freight's
weight and volume in transporting, thereby increasing cost and
causing an after-use handling problem.
[0007] In summary, the conventional pallet is not environmental
friendly and also increases handling and shipping cost.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The present invention is an improvement of a pallet
including a base, a paper cellular structure, and a lid, wherein
the base, being made of plastic, wood, plastic-wood, or
plastic-stone, including a tray-like structure with feet formed
underneath to facilitate loading and unloading operation, the paper
cellular structure, having krafts adhere to the top and the bottom
to fix its shape, being fastened to the tray-like structure, and
the lid having the same material as that in the base and being
fixed on the base, thereby forming a light-weight, heavy-duty,
environmental friendly, and also reusable pallet.
[0009] Each foot is a hollow cylinder with a 1 cm thick paper
cylinder inserted to enhance strength and reduce total weight.
[0010] To enable a further understanding of the said objectives and
the technological methods of the invention herein, the brief
description of the drawings below is followed by the detailed
description of the preferred embodiments.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
[0011] FIG. 1 shows an exploded elevational view of the present
invention.
[0012] FIG. 2 shows an exploded elevational view of a foot related
to the base and a perspective view of the paper cellular structure
of the present invention.
[0013] FIG. 3 shows a top view of the paper cellular structure
incorporating in a base.
[0014] FIG. 4 shows a cross section A-A' of FIG. 3.
[0015] FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of the present invention
after assembly.
[0016] FIG. 6 shows an application of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0017] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3. The present invention relates to
an improvement to a pallet including a base 10, a paper cellular
structure 20, and a lid 30, wherein the base 10, being made of
plastic, wood, plastic-wood, or plastic-stone, including a
tray-like structure 11 with feet 40 formed underneath, the paper
cellular structure 20 having krafts 21 adhere to the top and the
bottom to fix its shape and being fastened in the tray-like
structure 11, and the lid 30 being made of the same material as
that in the base 10 and fixed on the base 10.
[0018] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 4. Each foot 40 is a hollow
cylinder with a light-weight 1 cm thick paper cylinder 41 inserted
to enhance strength. With the feet 40, the pallet is easy to be
stacked up and is much more convenient when operating with a fork
lift or a crane.
[0019] Referring to FIG. 5. The lid 30 fixes on the base 10 to form
a light-weight, heavy-duty, low cost, and also environmental
friendly pallet.
[0020] In summary, the present invention is indeed an improvement
to a conventional pallet and is much useful for the industry.
[0021] It is of course to be understood that the embodiment
described herein is merely illustrative of the principles of the
invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be
effected by persons skilled in the art without departing from the
spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following
claims.
