Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates generally to a supporting base for display, and more particularly to a supporting base that can hold a display and allow the same to be swiveled.

[0003] 2. The Prior Arts

[0004] Under the drive of computer technology, display is made thinner and thinner day by day and realized, for example, in the form of the flat-type LCD or plasma display. This does not seem satisfactory by now, and it becomes bigger and bigger in size.

[0005] In the old days, a user might adjust the azimuth of a display very easily by moving it directly with his hands because it was small and light. Therefore, a supporting base for holding and swiveling the display did not seem important to make use of it. But, the situation is changed when it comes a bigger and heavier display.

[0006] A supporting base for display disclosed in Taiwan Patent Publication No. 12920 comprises a stand with a base for holding and swiveling a display in multiple angles, and two extending arms pivotally arranged on the base of the stand for facilitating the movement of the display. Unfortunately, the structure of this supporting base is somewhat too complicated for assembling and weak for competition.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The primary object of the present invention is to provide a supporting base for display, which is comprised of a base provided with a coupling platform having a coupling hole and a slide slot, and a rotation member having a coupling part and two slide blocks, in which the coupling part is coupled with the coupling hole of the coupling platform, and the slide blocks are slidable in the slide slot such that the rotation member can rotate with respect to the coupling platform.

[0008] In short, the merits of the present invention may be summarized as the following: (1) The structure is simple, and mass production is possible. (2) Assembling is easy and labor required is cut down. (3) Thus, costs are reduced.

[0009] For more detailed information regarding advantages or features of the present invention, at least one example of preferred embodiment will be described below with reference to the annexed drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] The related drawings in connection with the detailed description of the present invention to be made later are described briefly as follows, in which:

[0011] FIG. 1 is an exploded view showing a supporting base for display of the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention; and

[0013] FIGS. 3 and 4 are top views showing the state under use of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] With reference to the drawings and in particular to FIG. 1, a supporting base for display in accordance with the present invention comprises a base 1 and a rotation member 2, in which a coupling platform 11 on the base 1 is preferably formed with the base 1 integrally. A coupling hole 112 is formed in the coupling platform 11, and a coupling part 21 for connecting with the coupling hole 112 of the coupling platform 11 is provided to the rotation member 2. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the coupling part 21 is connected with the coupling hole 112 by means of a fixing member, a bolt S1 and a nut S2 to be coupled together for instance, to become a spindle and allow the rotation member 2 to rotate with respect to the coupling platform 11 surrounding the spindle.

[0015] There is further provided to the coupling platform 11 with at least an arcuate slide slot 111 taking the spindle formed by the coupling part 21 and the coupling hole 112 as the center. However, for facilitating stable rotation and symmetrical balance in this case, there are two slide slots 111 distributed oppositely and correspondingly on two sides of the coupling holes 112, respectively. Also, at least a slide block 22 is situated on the rotation member 2 and slidable in the slide slots 111, such that the rotation member 2 can rotate relatively to the coupling platform 11. In other words, the slide block 22 is formed corresponding to the slide slots 111 in positions and in amount with a smaller volume. For the reason resembling the above-mentioned, there are two slide blocks 22 provided to the present invention.

[0016] In order to decrease cost in mass production, the material of the base 1 and/or the rotation member 2 is preferably plastics.

[0017] FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing an assembled supporting base for display of the present invention. A user is supposed to check a display (reference number M in FIGS. 2 and 4) at two screw holes H of the rotation member 2 so that he may rotate the display to a proper visual angle shown in FIG. 3 or FIG. 4 as he wishes.

[0018] In the above described, at least one preferred embodiment has been described in detail with reference to the drawings annexed, and it is apparent that numerous changes or modifications may be made without departing from the true spirit and scope thereof, as set forth in the claims below.
