Protective weatherproof case for exterior mounted printer

Abstract

A waterproof container for locating printers in exterior or harsh environment conditions. The container is designed to allow for custom setup and easy installation giving the printer a safe and protected location to operate. By varying the electronic components, the container can also be mounted in vehicles using DC power.

Claims



1. A method of installing a printer in an external or harsh environment location by mounting the case at the location, installing the printer and making the electronic connections, said case comprising; watertight container, marine grade wire seals and electronic connection components:

2. A method according to claim 1 wherein the electronic connections can be customized to meet specific printer demand requirements.

3. A method according to claim 1 wherein the size of the watertight container can be varied to meet specific printer demand requirements.

4. A method according to claim 1 wherein the container interior can be customized to meet specific printer demand requirements.

5. A method according to claim 1 wherein the container can be modified to allow for the document to exit the container without opening container.
Description



DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0001] The case is a watertight, crush proof, heavy-duty plastic container used to house and protect a printer. The protection provided by the case is designed to allow mounting the printer in exterior or harsh environment conditions.

[0002] The printing of documents, i.e. receipts, tickets, requires the printer to operate in a stable environment. Accordingly, a protective case constructed in accordance with Printer Protect is capable of providing a secure location for printer operation in an external environment heretofore requiring an internal environment.

[0003] The use of a watertight, crush proof, heavy-duty plastic container for this invention is responsible on its own, for providing increased productivity and safety printer locations, due to the protective nature of the case and wiring seal connections.
