Container for a beauty product

Abstract

A container for a beauty product includes a semi-spherical bottom member having an upwardly facing compartment, a weight received in the upwardly facing compartment of the bottom member, a body securely mounted on top of the bottom member, the body defining a compartment for receiving a beauty product, and a cap mounted on top of the body. The weight provides the container with a tendency to stand in an upright state. Thus, when the container falls resulting from external forces, it instantly returns to its upright position. This provides an additional entertaining effect while providing a reliable upright standing effect for the container.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a container for a beauty product.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] Loving beauty is a part of nature of females, and makeup has become a style as well as a part of politeness in the modern world. It is common that a female places various kinds of beauty products on her dresser or in her cosmetic case or purse. A container having a relatively wide bottom area can be reliably placed in an upright manner. However, reliable placing of elongated bottles containing eyelash liner, eyeliner liquid, lip juice, lipstick, nail polish, etc. is not possible. Namely, an elongated bottle having a relatively small bottom area is apt to fall when inadvertently touched. Further, when one of the elongated bottles falls, the other elongated bottles impinged by the falling elongated bottle fall too. In some cases, the elongated bottles that roll easily may break and thus cause leakage of liquid contained therein, causing problems to the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a container for a beauty product with a low center of gravity such that the container tends to be in an upright position without increasing the bottom area of the container.

[0006] A container for a beauty product includes a semi-spherical bottom member having an upwardly facing compartment, a weight received in the upwardly facing compartment of the bottom member, a body securely mounted on top of the bottom member, the body defining a compartment for receiving a beauty product, and a cap mounted on top of the body.

[0007] The weight provides the container with a tendency to stand in an upright state. Thus, when the container falls resulting from external forces, it instantly returns to its upright position. This provides an additional entertaining effect while providing a reliable upright standing effect for the container.

[0008] Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a container in accordance with the present invention.

[0010] FIG. 2 is an elevational view, partly sectioned, of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0011] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0012] FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating a modified embodiment of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0013] FIG. 5 is an elevational view illustrating another modified embodiment of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0014] FIG. 6 is an elevational view illustrating a further modified embodiment of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0015] FIG. 7 is an elevational view illustrating still another modified embodiment of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0016] FIG. 8 is an elevational view illustrating yet another modified embodiment of the container in accordance with the present invention.

[0017] FIG. 9 is a schematic view illustrating an upright standing effect of the container in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0018] Hereinafter, the container for a beauty product according to the embodiment of the invention will be explained with reference to FIG. 1 through FIG. 9. As used herein, the term "beauty product" includes cosmetics and toiletries. Further, according to use, the term "beauty product" includes a skin care product, hair care product, makeup product, fragrance, men's product, and bath product.

[0019] Referring to FIGS. 1 through 3, a container for a beauty product in accordance with the present invention is designated by 1 and generally comprises a cap 11, a body 12, a bottom member 13, and a weight 14. The cap 11 may include a beauty product applying member attached thereto. The beauty product applying member may be a lip juice brush 10 (FIG. 1), an eyelash liner applicator 10a (FIG. 5), a brush 10b for applying eyeliner liquid (FIG. 6), a nail brush 10c for nail polish (FIG. 7), or a lipstick 10d (FIG. 8).

[0020] The body 12 includes a through-hole 121 in a central portion of a top thereof. The beauty product applying member is extended through the through-hole 121 of the body 12 when not in use. The shape of the body 12 may vary in response to different kinds of the beauty product contained therein. The body 12 is securely engaged with the bottom member 13 at a bottom side thereof, forming a bottle, which is conventional and not described in detail. The body 12 defines a compartment 120 for receiving a beauty product.

[0021] The bottom member 13 is substantially a semi-spherical member having an upwardly facing compartment 130 for receiving the weight 14. The bottom member 13 includes a planar section 131 on a top thereof. The weight 14 has a weight that can be varied according to the weights of the body 12 and the beauty product received in the body 12.

[0022] FIG. 4 shows a container 1A having a different outline. FIG. 5 shows a container 1B for receiving eyelash liner. FIG. 6 shows a container 1C for receiving eyeliner liquid. FIG. 7 shows a container 1D for receiving nail polish. FIG. 8 shows a container 1E for receiving a lipstick.

[0023] Referring to FIG. 9, the center of gravity of the container 1 in accordance with the present invention is shifted downward to the bottom member 13. When the container 1 falls resulting from external forces, it instantly returns to its upright position. This provides an additional entertaining effect while providing an upright standing effect for the container 1.

[0024] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
