Claims
What I claim as my invention is:
1. A totally disposable cleaning swab for cleaning and disinfecting
the inside of a toilet bowl.
2. An elongated proximal end of substantial length so as to be
grasped by the human hand.
3. A cleaning swab of sponge or foam that is round or square in
nature that is attached to the distal end of the cleaning wand for
the cleaning of the inside of a toilet bowl. The swab having a
water activated cleaning agent already applied for cleaning and
disinfecting a surface.
4. The complete cleaning implement can then be disposed of in the
trash, thereby eliminating any germs or bacteria from being
deposited outside the toilet bowl.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of Invention
[0002] This invention relates to toilet brushes and more
particularly pertains to a new, completely disposable cleaning
swab.
[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art
[0004] The use of toilet brushes is known in the prior art. More
specifically, toilet brushes, heretofore devised and utilized, are
known to consist basically of familiar, expected and obvious
structural configurations, notwithstanding the myriad of designs
encompassed by the crowded prior art which have been developed for
the fulfullment of countless objectives and requirements.
[0005] Known prior art includes U.S. Pat. No. 4,493,124; U.S. Pat.
No. 4,852,201; U.S. Pat. No. 5,888,002; U.S. Pat. No. 4,283,809;
U.S. Pat. No. 6,460,215; U.S. Pat. No. 4,457,038; U.S. Pat. No.
5,092,013. While these devices fulfill their respective, particular
objectives and requirements, the aforementioned patents do not
disclose a new completely disposable cleaning swab. In the past,
toilet brushes have had to be used and then stored, while at the
same time storing all the filthy germs along with them. At present,
there are a number of new brushes that all have a stick member with
a gripper end to grip a disposable pad. The toilet bowl is cleaned
and the pad disposed of, but there is still the problem of storing
the handle which has touched the inside of the toilet bowl. This
problem is solved with the new invention. After cleaning the
toilet, the complete tool is disposed of in the trash. Thus doing
away with all the germs.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0006] These drawings illustrate the simplest and best method for
this carrying out this invention.
[0007] In the drawings:
[0008] FIG. 1. is a complete view of the new invention of the
toilet bowl cleaner. FIG. 1 shows the top, front and length of the
disposable toilet bowl cleaner with top consisting of cleaner
already applied to swab and swab being inserted approximately
3/4.sup.th of the way into an enlongated stick being made of
styrene. Since the swab is circular in construction, no side or
back view will be shown, as it is the same shape and size all
around each side.
[0009] FIG. 2. is showing a schematic view of the disposable toilet
bowl cleaner wherein the styrene applicator stick would be inserted
approximately 3/4 th of the length of the swab.
[0010] FIG. 3 is showing the shaded top portion of the swab which
is coated with a cleaning and disinfecting agent. The cleaning
agent is the shaded portion.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0011] Referring back to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a piece
of foam or sponge which is approximately 11/2 (one and one half
inch) in diameter and approximately {fraction (51/2)} (five and one
half inch) in circumference and 2" (two inches) in length with a
cleaning agent applied to the foam or sponge and having an
approximate 10" to 12" (ten to twelve inch) styrene applicator
attached with glue to the foam or sponge. The styrene applicator
being approximately 1" (one inch) in circumference and
approximately {fraction (15/64)} (fifteen sixty-fourth inch) in
diameter. This product would be used to clean toilets and then
tossed in the garbage.
[0012] FIG. 2. shows a dividing line where the swab head and the
styrene applicator would be coupled together to form a one piece
unit suitable for cleaning of toilet bowls and then disposing of
the entire unit.
[0013] FIG. 3. showing a dividing line where the swab head and the
styrene applicator would be coupled together to form a one piece
unit suitable for cleaning of toilet bowls.
[0014] As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and
operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent
from the above description.
[0015] Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of
usage and operation will be provided. With respect to the above
description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional
relationships for the part of the invention, to include variations
in size, materials, shape, form assembly and use, are deemed
readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all
equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and
described in the specifications are intended to be encompassed by
the present invention. Therefore, the foregoing is considered as
illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further,
since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to
those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention
to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and
accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be
resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0016] There are numerous advantages of the new invention. The most
important being the ability to clean the toilet bowl all in one
easy step, with one tool, that is thrown in the trash after use,
along with all the germs and bacteria that would normally be stored
with the old brush system. It permits the user to save time. It
permits the user to be able to easily clean under the toilet bowl
rim. It permits the user to dispose of all germs and bacteria,
thereby making this invention safer and more sanitiary to use.
[0017] It also permits various institutions such as hospitals,
hotels, schools or any area where a large number of people
proximinate or where there are public bathrooms to benefit from the
Swish & Toss because all the germs are going out in the garbage
can and therefore are not as easily spread as with other toilet
brushes that are not disposable.
