Muscle exaggerating jacket
Abstract
A jacket for smaller men, including teenagers, to exaggerate
their upper body's muscles, is comprised primarily of chest muscle
portions, stomach muscle portions, ribs portions, armpit muscle
portions and bicep portions in the arms. Those muscle portions are
made of elastomers like silicon, polyurethane or soft PVC covered
with fabric. The stomach muscle portions are developed on an
elastic band like a corset, to emphasize the slim waist. The base
texture for the jacket is an elastic material such as spandex in
order to secure the jacket to the wearer's upper body.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] Women's desire to look beautiful can be remedied by putting
make-up on their face and working out to slim down. However,
satisfying men's desire to appear strong and tough is not so
simple. Muscle building usually takes a long time and is sometimes
even physically impossible or dangerous. Teenagers under age 17 are
often forbidden to attend health clubs for the purpose of
bodybuilding, as it can be very dangerous or growth stunting.
However, the trend for younger people to look big is growing.
Another problem for some men is that their bodies take far more
time than average men to increase upper body muscle. Some people
may workout for years and are still not able to achieve the size
that they want. It is purpose of this invention to provide such men
an easy and safe way to look stronger.
[0002] 1. Field of the Invention
[0003] This invention relates to a jacket, and more particularly,
to a jacket that exaggerates the wearer's upper body muscle.
[0004] 2. Description of Prior Art
[0005] U.S. Pat. No. 4,195,362 to Rolando illustrates a ski-jacket
type insulated jacket for absorption of impact shock, which may be
incurred by the wearer during participation in sports such as
skiing. A plurality of plate assemblies are associated with the
body and sleeve forming portions of the jacket, each of the plate
assemblies including a resilient support member and at least one
rigid plate member.
[0006] U.S. Pat. No. 4,089,065 to McGee illustrates a protective
and attractive garment such as a jumpsuit, which has the appearance
of a normal article of clothing. The garment is particularly
suitable for hang-gliding or parachuting and is made from a fabric
of two coextensive layers of a close-weave material, which offers
substantial resistance to the flow of air or other gas through the
material.
[0007] U.S. Pat. No. 4,310,927 to DeBose illustrates a toy shirt
for children consisting of inflatable chest muscle portions,
inflatable stomach muscle portions, and inflatable bicep portions
in the arms. It further includes an elastic neckband and elastic
wristbands, for securing it to the child. It also includes an
optional cape that may be snapped on, or secured with an adhesive
to the shoulder portions. This muscle enlarging shirt has a hollow
main body, a circular tail portion to fit a child's waist, a pair
of arm portions secured to the hollow main body, a pair of
inflatable bicep portions, a pair of chest portions, a plurality of
stomach portions secured to the hollow main body, and a removable
cape, secured to said hollow main body. It is a kind of balloon toy
for kids.
[0008] None of the prior art introduces a jacket for men that make
them look stronger.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] A jacket for smaller men, including teenagers, to exaggerate
their upper body's muscles, is comprised primarily of chest muscle
portions, stomach muscle portions, armpits muscle portions, and
bicep portions in the arms, and a cover layer. The muscle portions
are made of elastomers such as silicon, polyurethane or soft PVC
covered with fabric. The stomach muscle portions are developed on
an elastic band, like a corset, to emphasize the slim waist. The
base material for the jacket is an elastic material such as spandex
or a mixture of spandex with cotton in order to secure the jacket
to the wearer's upper body. A cover layer gives the appearance of a
conventional jacket. A slide fastener or zipper is provided along
the front of body forming portion and covered by a layer of button
fasteners for a conventional appearance. Similarly, conventional
cuff portions are affixed to the free end of sleeve. Other
conventional accoutrements may be provided, such as an elastic
strip on the bottom edge of the body-forming portion of the jacket.
The purpose of this invention is to provide a healthy, muscular
look for young men, not unrealistically bulky, like "The HULK", but
rather like Bruce LEE.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0021] FIG. 1-a is a front view of a muscle-exaggerating jacket (1)
of this invention. The overall look of the muscle-exaggerating
jacket (1) is a little bit tight yet slim. The jacket (1) has a
Derby jacket collar (2) to give the impression of Derby jacket. A
slide fastener or zipper (3) is provided along the front of body
forming portion, and covered by a layer of button fasteners (4) for
a conventional appearance. FIG. 1-b is a cross sectional view of
the muscle exaggerating jacket (1) of this invention along the line
a-a' in FIG. 1. The jacket (1) has two layers of cloths. The inner
layer, base cloth (11), is made of resilient material such as
spandex. The outer layer or cover layer (12) is made of a
conventional material: Cotton, polyester, wool or linen. Chest
muscle portions (5), armpit muscle portions (6), bicep portions in
the arms (7), stomach muscle portions (8), and ribs portions (9)
are made of silicon or polyurethane. Those muscle portions
(5,6,7,8,9) are installed between these two layers of fabric, (11)
and (12). Those muscle portions are tightly adhered to the inner
layer (11) but are covered by the outer layer (12) with some room
to give the impression of muscles beneath the jacket.
[0022] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the chest muscle
portions (5). The chest muscle (10) is formulated with silicon,
polyurethane or soft PVC. The formulated chest muscle (10) is
adhered to base cloth (11), which is spandex. The thickness (13) of
the formulated chest muscles (10) is less than 2 cm. But, the
formulated muscle (10) should represent the bumpy shape of a
well-developed muscle as shown in FIG. 3. The space (14) between
the formulated muscle (10) and the outer layer (12) produce a look
of real muscle under the jacket.
[0023] FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view of the rib portions (9).
The formulated ribs (16) are also made of polyurethane or soft PVC.
The thickness (17) of the formulated ribs (16) is less than 0.5 cm.
The formulated ribs (16) are adhered to the base cloth (11), which
is spandex. The ribs (16) are covered with outer layer (12), which
is adhered to the base cloth (11) at the points (15) and (18). The
space (19) between the formulated ribs (16) and the outer layer
(12) generate a look of real ribs under jacket.
[0024] FIG. 5 is a front view of the stomach muscle portions (8).
Four stomach muscles (20) are formulated on a stomach sheet (21),
which is made of elastic rubber. The stomach sheet (21) is
developed like a rubber band, wrapping the waist of the wearer to
cover a fat waistline. The stomach sheet (21) is connected to the
base cloth (11) by heat sealing or glue adhering at the point (18)
of FIG. 4. An elastic strip (22) is developed on the bottom edge of
stomach sheet (21). FIG. 6 is a cross sectional view of the stomach
muscle portions (8). The outer layer (12) is developed freely from
point (18) straight down. The formulated stomach muscles (20) are
invisible from the outside. But, if the outer layer (12) adheres to
the stomach muscle portions (8) by chance, it looks as though the
wearer's stomach muscle is really well developed. The outer layer
(12) meets the base cloth (11) at the side line (23) of the jacket
(1).
[0025] FIG. 7-a and FIG. 7-b is a side and front view of the armpit
muscle portions (6), respectively. These armpits muscle portions
(6) are installed behind the chest muscle portions (5), along the
armpits of the jacket to the back shoulders of the jacket. These
armpit muscles (24) are made of the same material as the chest
muscles (10), polyurethane or silicon. The inside (24) of the
formulated armpit muscles (25) is adhered to the base cloth (11).
The outer (26) layer of the armpits muscles (25) may be adhered to
the outer layer (12) tightly.
[0026] FIG. 8 is a cross sectional view of the bicep muscles
portions (7). The bicep muscles (27) are formulated with soft PVC
or polyurethane. The outer layer (12) covers the formulated bicep
muscles with some clearance (28).
[0027] The outer layer is adhered to the base cloth (11) at the
lines of (29) and (30) around the arm.
[0028] FIG. 9 is a rear view of the muscle-exaggerating jacket of
this invention. An educational sentence (31) can be printed on the
back of the jacket.
