DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0025] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-4, a plastic cover 13 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention is mounted on a container 11. The container 11 has a top formed with a mouth 12 having an outer wall formed with an outer thread 18 and an annular catch edge 25.

[0026] The plastic cover 13 comprises a main body 14, and an anti-theft ring 15.

[0027] The main body 14 of the plastic cover 13 is mounted on the mouth 12 of the container 11 and has an inner wall formed with an inner thread 17 screwed on the outer thread 18 of the container 11. The main body 14 of the plastic cover 13 has a first end formed with a closed face 16 and a second end formed with an opening 160.

[0028] The anti-theft ring 15 of the plastic cover 13 is mounted on the second end of the main body 14 of the plastic cover 13, and has an inner wall provided with a plurality of catch plates 21 each bent toward the closed face 16 of the main body 14 of the plastic cover 13. Preferably, the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 are equally spaced from each other.

[0029] Each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 is substantially V-shaped. Each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 has two ends formed with two wings 28 and a mediate section formed with a bent portion 22. The two wings 28 of each of the catch plates 21 are inclined toward different directions. Preferably, the bent portion 22 of each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 is directed toward a center of the anti-theft ring 15 as shown in FIG. 4.

[0030] The anti-theft ring 15 includes a plurality of flexible connecting ribs 26 for connecting the catch plates 21 so as to enhance the structural strength of the anti-theft ring 15. In addition, the connecting ribs 26 are deformed when the catch plates 21 are compressed by a transverse force, so as to absorb the transverse compressing force applied on the catch plates 21.

[0031] The plastic cover 13 further comprises a continuously arranged cutting seam 23 formed between the main body 14 and the anti-theft ring 15, so that the main body 14 is not separated from the anti-theft ring 15 completely.

[0032] The plastic cover 13 further comprises a plurality of connecting studs 24 mounted on the inner wall of the main body 14 and the anti-theft ring 15. Each of the connecting studs 24 has a first end connected to the main body 14 and a second end connected to the anti-theft ring 15. Thus, each of the connecting studs 24 is passed through the cutting seam 23 to connect the main body 14 and the anti-theft ring 15.

[0033] Accordingly, each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 is provided with a bent portion 22 which distributes the transverse compressing force applied on the catch plate 21 when the catch plate 21 is compressed by the transverse force, so as to enhance the transverse structural strength of each of the catch plates 21, so that each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 can withstand a larger transverse stress and cannot be bent easily.

[0034] In addition, the two wings 28 of each of the catch plates 21 are inclined toward different directions so as to enhance the longitudinal structural strength of each of the catch plates 21, so that each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 can withstand a larger longitudinal stress.

[0035] Further, each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 is provided with a bent portion 22 which enhances the structural strength of each of the catch plates 21, so that each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 can be made with a smaller thickness, thereby decreasing costs of fabrication.

[0036] Further, the connecting studs 24 are mounted on the inner wall of the main body 14 and the anti-theft ring 15, so that the continuously arranged cutting seam 23 is directly formed between the main body 14 and the anti-theft ring 15 after the main body 14 is integrally formed with the anti-theft ring 15, thereby simplifying the procedure of fabrication.

[0037] Further, the anti-theft ring 15 is provided with a plurality of flexible connecting ribs 26 for connecting the catch plates 21 to enhance the structural strength of the anti-theft ring 15.

[0038] Further, the flexible connecting ribs 26 are deformed when the catch plates 21 are compressed by the transverse force, so as to absorb the transverse compressing force applied on the catch plates 21.

[0039] Referring to FIGS. 5-7, a plastic cover in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention is shown, wherein the bent portion 22 of each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 is directed toward the inner wall of the anti-theft ring 15 as shown in FIG. 7.

[0040] Referring to FIG. 8 with reference to FIGS. 1-4, when the anti-theft ring 15 is combined with the container 11, the two wings 28 of each of the catch plates 21 are rested on the catch edge 25 the container 11 with two different inclined angles, so that each of the catch plates 21 of the anti-theft ring 15 is combined with the catch edge 25 the container 11 rigidly and closely, thereby enhancing the combination strength of the anti-theft ring 15 with the container 11.

[0041] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
