Sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir

Abstract

A sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir comprises a can and a lid. The can has an opening at one end with a curved edge around the opening. A circular trough is formed within an inner wall close to the opening. The circular trough is formed by starting one end in a level with the extension line gradually deviating from the line to cause a different height of the two ends. The lid comprises a reduced portion with a circular rib surrounding an outer wall of the reduced portion, corresponding to the circular trough of the can. A gap is formed around an inner wall of the lid corresponding to the curved edge of the can so that the lid covers the can with the circular rib inserting into the circular trough for security purpose.

Claims

I claim:

1. A sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir comprising a can and a lid, said can comprising an opening with a circular trough close to said opening, said circular trough being formed by starting one end from an inner wall of said can and continuous to drawn a line across the inner wall till it reaching to the starting end, said line being drawn in a different height from original, thus causing two ends in a different height; said lid comprising a reduced portion with a circular rib formed around an outer wall thereof corresponding to said circular trough of said can; thus, by covering said lid on said can, said circular rib being guided into said circular trough and to secure said can.

2. The sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, as recited in claim 1, wherein said opening of said can comprises a curved edge, and said lid comprises a gap corresponding to said curved edge of said can.

3. The sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, as recited in claim 1, wherein two ends of said circular trough are shaped in rounded and dented.

4. The sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, as recited in claim 1, wherein two ends of said circular rib are shaped in rounded.
Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention relates to a sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, and more particularly to a can having a circular trough close to an opening of the can, and a lid having a circular rib on a reduced portion of the lid to secure with the circular through of the can.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] A conventional spray gun reservoir comprises a can 3 and a lid 4, as shown in FIG. 3. The can 3 has a flat top on an open end while the lid 4 has a reduced portion 41 to be inserted into the can 3 to seal the can 3. This sealing structure may easily be loosened and the paint in the reservoir may be spoiled out.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, which provides a secure sealing structure to prevent paint from leakage.

[0004] It is another object of the present invention to provide the sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, which is save in use.

[0005] It is a further object of the present invention to provide the sealing structure for a spray gun reservoir, which is easy to open and to seal.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006] FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention

[0007] FIG. 2 is an assembly view of the present view, partially sectioned, and

[0008] FIG. 3 is an assembly view of a prior art, partially sectioned.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0009] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the present invention is generally composed of a can 1 and a lid 2.

[0010] The can 1 comprises an opening 11 with a curved edge 13 on the top edge end. A circular trough 12 is formed by starting from one end in a level with the extension line gradually deviating from the line, which causes a different height of the two ends. The two ends of the circular trough 12 are in rounded and dented shape for easy connection.

[0011] The lid 2 comprises a reduced portion 21 with a circular rib 22 surrounding the outer wall of the reduced portion 21, corresponding to the circular trough 11 of the can 1. A gap 23 is formed around the inner wall of the lid 2 corresponding to the curved edge 13 of the can 1. Two ends of the circular rib 22 of the lid 2 are formed in rounded for easy connection.

[0012] By covering the lid 2 on the can 1, the circular rib 22 may be easily guided into the circular trough 12 and to secure the can 1 properly.
