Claims

I claim as my invention:

1. A disposable taco plate using four ridges to form three unshaped valleys to hold tacos and their contents in place. Said plate being made of lightweight polystyrene in order to make the plates disposable.
Description

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention calls for a disposable polystyrene taco plate that will support three tacos in a fully upright position. The material used to make the plate will be inexpensive and disposable to encourage consumers to use and dispose of the plates which will make tacos an easy at home meal.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] 1. Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a taco plate, more specifically a disposable taco plate.

[0004] 2. Prior Art

[0005] Taco plates are well known in the prior art. U.S. Pat. No. 5,558,253, for example, is a taco plate with two areas for holding taco shells and is made of a lightweight material that is meant to be cleaned and reused. The current invention differs from the previously mentioned inventions as well as other prior art in that it is made of a lightweight disposable material, specifically polystyrene, meant to be discarded after use. It further differs in that it is designed to hold three tacos and their fillings and has no planer space for other foods. Simply stated it is designed to help taco consumption become easier in that it requires no clean up afterwards.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The taco plate, as shown in the accompanying drawings, consists of a 101/4 in. circular base, ribbed rim, and four upstanding and spaced apart rounded walls. The entire plate is formed using a polystyrene molding process therefore eliminating any corners or crevasses on the surface of the plate. All portions of the plate are intregal and continuous throughout the entire plate being of one material and thickness throughout such as shown in FIG. 3.

[0007] The walls extend above the rim of the plate, as shown in FIG. 2 to better support the taco shells.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008] FIG. 1

[0009] FIG. 1 shows a top view of the taco plate

[0010] FIG. 2

[0011] FIG. 2 shows a sectional side view of the taco plate

[0012] FIG. 3

[0013] FIG. 3 shows the thickness of all portions of the plate.
