Herbal cigarette

Abstract

Pre-determined and definite amounts of different Herbal ingredients, which are the different plant parts of Herbs, including roots, stem, leaves, seeds, flowers, fruits, that are in the form of powder, granules, leaves and seeds are mixed thoroughly together. Clarified butter and/or essential oil(s) depending on the flavor, in liquid form are added in small pre-determined amount to the mixture that is mixed again. Using automatic machines this mixture, which is dry and combustible, with `enough` moisture, is filled inside the cigarette paper tubes to which filter tip is attached. Individual cigarettes are packed together in boxes to be sold in the market. Alternatively, these cigarette papers or filter tubes could be hand-filled with the Herbal mixture that can be stored in pouches.

Claims



1. Protection is sought for exclusive production and marketing of "Herbal cigarettes" in the consumer market as no one else has ever produced and marketed this product before. The Herbal cigarette product, free from Tobacco, may serve several different purposes such as: a. De-addiction from tobacco cigarette smoking. b. It can help in the cure or relief from many diseases through the use of Herbal ingredients. c. Smoking Herbal cigarettes is soothing to the throat, helps the voice and improves digestive processes. d. Smoking Herbal cigarettes imparts a good aroma to the surroundings and is elevating for the mind. e. The Herbal ingredients present in the cigarettes have useful properties as listed in the Herbal literature and pharmacopoeias. They are listed below. Smoking them imparts some of their useful properties to the smoker. f. Smoking Herbal cigarettes is absolutely safe and, in fact is beneficial, for our health.

2. Changing the proportion of ingredients or addition to or subtraction of Herbs from the mixture contained in the "Herbal cigarettes" does not cause any material change in the product and should not be granted patent protection to those other than inventors who attempt this.

3. Protection is sought for exclusive making of different flavors of "Herbal cigarettes" depending on the proportion of the ingredients or addition of flavoring agents like essential oils.

4. Protection is sought for both means of making "Herbal cigarettes"-by machine or hand filled.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION OF "HERBAL CIGARETTE"

[0001] The "Herbal Cigarette" contains a predetermined mixture of different Herbs, which are in their different forms (leaves, stems, roots, seeds, flowers, fruits, oils), packed in the filtered or non-filtered cigarette paper tubes. These are to be smoked in the usual way as the current tobacco cigarettes in the market. The "Herbal cigarettes" contain no Tobacco or nicotine. They are prepared as follows and contain the following ingredients.

[0002] 1. Some of the Herbal ingredients mentioned below will be mixed in different proportions by weight, depending on the flavor desired, resulting in multi-flavored "Herbal cigarettes".

[0003] 2. All of the ingredients, except clarified butter and essential oils of plants and flowers, are in their dry powder, granular or leafy form with definite amount of `enough` moisture.

[0004] 3. The final looks of the finished product will be the same as the existing tobacco cigarettes on the market today, which include different sizes, lengths and colors.

[0005] 4. Few or all of the following Herbal ingredients will be used. Their uses according to Herbal literature are listed in front of their names:

[0006] a. Turmeric: Stomachic, tonic, blood-purifier, anti-septic, carminative, appetizer, anti-spasmodic, anti- inflammatory etc.

[0007] b. Clove: Stain removal from teeth, salivary stimulator, buccal deodorant, gingival protection, flavoring agent, etc.

[0008] c. Licorice: Useful in Asthma, Bronchitis, chronic cough, mouth ulcers, heartburn, esophageal-gastric-duodenal inflammation and ulceration, anti-rheumatic etc.

[0009] d. Gotu Kola: Revitalizes nerves and brain, strengthens memory and intelligence, improves concentration, tonic, useful in skin diseases, Asthma and Bronchitis etc.

[0010] e. Indian Gooseberry: Anabolic, anti-bacterial, resistance building, expectorant, carminative, anti-oxidative, anti-viral, anti-emetic, anti-atherosclerotic etc.

[0011] f. Ink nut: Laxative, Stomachic, tonic, alterative, adaptogenic, anti-stress, Hepato-protective etc.

[0012] g. Cardamom: Aromatic, flavoring agent, stimulant, breath sweetener, digestive, aphrodisiac, digestive, appetizer, anti-colic, anti-flatulent etc.

[0013] h. Ginger: Carminative, GI stimulant, anti-depressant, anti-narcotic, anti-histaminic etc.

[0014] i. Sandalwood: Cooling, diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant, useful in concentrating mind, headaches, skin troubles, burns etc.

[0015] j. Rose: Flavoring agent, soothing to Pitta, balancing to all doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) etc.

[0016] k. Cinnamon: Aromatic, astringent, GI stimulant, expectorant, carminative, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, useful in neuralgia, rheumatism, toothaches etc.

[0017] l. Indian Bdellium: Anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, stomachic, carminative, appetizer, digestive, diaphoretic, expectorant, diuretic, rejuvenative, de-toxifying, useful as a gargle in chronic tonsillitis, pharyngitis etc.

[0018] m. Bishop's Weed: Anti-spasmodic, tonic, carminative, anti-microbial, improves body's resistance etc.

[0019] n. Holy Basil: Heart tonic, purifies and invigorates body and mind etc.

[0020] o. Fenugreek: High in protein, useful externally on boils, ulcers etc.

[0021] p. Bay Leaves: Aromatic, flavoring agent etc.

[0022] q. Clarified Butter (Ghee): Balances doshas, makes all sensory organs strong and healthy, useful in hair growth, improves complexion, corrects tremors etc.

[0024] s. Cilantro

[0025] t. Coriander

[0026] u. Anise

[0027] v. Cumin

[0028] w. Thyvme-leaved Gratiola
