Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates generally to a luggage more particularly to a foldable frame of the luggage.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] As shown in FIG. 1, a prior art luggage frame has a frame body 10 comprising an upper support board 11 and a lower support board 12 for supporting the shell of the luggage. The support boards 11 and 12 are integrally made and then shipped to the luggage makers. In light of the bulky volumes of the support boards 11 and 12, the luggage makers must pay high costs of the packing and the shipping of the support boards 11 and 12.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a foldable luggage frame comprising an upper support board and a lower support board, which are basically similar in construction and are formed of a fixed portion, a movable portion, and a folding portion located between the fixed portion and the movable portion.

[0006] The features, functions, and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention in reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

[0007] FIG. 1 shows a schematic view of a structure of the prior art.

[0008] FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0009] FIG. 3 shows a side schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0010] FIG. 4 shows a schematic view of the upper support board and the lower support board of the preferred embodiment -of the present invention in the folding state.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] As shown in FIGS. 2-4, the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises two main support rods 10, an expandable pull rod 11 pivoted to the top end of the main support rods 10, an upper support board 12 fastened to the top ends of the main support rods 10, and a lower support board 13 fastened to the bottom ends of the main support rods 10.

[0012] The present invention is characterized by the upper support board 12 and the lower support board 13, which are basically similar in construction to each other and are formed of a fixed portion 21, a movable portion 22, and a folding portion 20 located between the fixed portion 21 and the movable portion 22. The fixed portion 21 and the movable portion 22 are connected at one side with two connection bars 23 which are pivoted together at one end.

[0013] As illustrated in FIG. 4, the movable portions 22 of the upper support board 12 and the lower support board 13 are collapsed to reduce the volumes of the upper and the lower support boards 12 and 13, so as to facilitate the packing and the shipping of the upper and the lower support boards 12 and 13.

[0014] The embodiment of the present invention described above is to be regarded in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof The present invention is therefore to be limited only by the scope of the following claim.
