Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] (a) Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a plastic shoe box
assembly, more particularly to a shoe box assembly that aims to
reduce storage space and facilitate identification of contents of
the shoe box assembly. The plastic shoe box assembly includes a
folding body made of a transparent and semi-transparent plastic
material, side cover plates, an upper cover plate, and fastening
lugs. The folding body is formed with shallow grooves such that the
folding body is foldable along the shallow grooves into a U-shaped
body, and has front and rear end portions provided with slide
grooves. The side cover plates may be inserted into the slide
grooves from an upper end of the U-shaped body, and has stop blocks
and resilient retaining members engageable with stop grooves and
retaining grooves for coupling purposes. The upper cover has front
and rear ends connected to the fastening lugs, which has color or
number indications. After assembly, projections at the inner edges
of the fastening lugs can engage fastening holes in the side covert
plates to position the upper cover plate. The shoe box assembly
saves storage space prior to assembly, and can be quickly assembled
when desired. The indications on the fastening lugs facilitate
identification of the contents of the shoe box assembly. Besides,
the user can use the shoe box assembly as a protective shoe storage
box after purchase, thereby preventing waste of resources.
[0003] (b) Description of the Prior Art
[0004] Conventionally, shoes are packed in boxes made of cardboard
paper for temporary storage and protection. Such shoe boxes are
stocked in shoe factories for packaging purposes. As the shoe boxes
can only be stacked, they require a large amount of storage space.
Besides, as the shoe boxes are not transparent, they do not allow
easy identification of the model, color and size of the shoes
stored therein. Generally, the model, color and size indications
are written on the shoe boxes, which is quite unsightly.
Furthermore, since paper shoe boxes are not sufficiently rigid and
are vulnerable to damage, users tend to throw them away, which is a
waste of resources. Even if the shoe boxes are saved for storage
boxes, their material do not allow easy identification of the
contents thereof.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The primary object of the present invention is to provide a
plastic shoe box assembly which includes a folding body made of a
plastic material, side cover plates, an upper cover plate, and
fastening lugs. The folding body is formed with shallow grooves
such that the folding body is foldable along the shallow grooves
into a U-shaped body, and has front and rear end portions provided
with slide grooves. The side cover plates may be inserted into the
slide grooves from an upper end of the U-shaped body, and has stop
blocks and resilient retaining members engageable with stop grooves
and retaining grooves for coupling purposes. The upper cover has
front and rear ends connected to the fastening lugs, which has
color or number indications. After assembly, projections at the
inner edges of the fastening lugs can engage fastening holes in the
side covert plates to position the upper cover plate. The shoe box
assembly saves storage space prior to assembly, and can be quickly
assembled when desired.
[0006] Another object of the present invention is to provide a
plastic shoe box assembly which is made of a transparent or
semi-transparent plastic material and which includes fastening lugs
with color or number indications to facilitate identification of
the model, color and size of the shoes contained in the shoe box
assembly.
[0007] A further object of the present invention is to provide a
plastic shoe box assembly which has sufficient rigidity to
withstand pressure and which is not vulnerable to damage so that
the user can use the shoe box assembly as a protective storage box,
thereby preventing waste of resources.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0014] With reference to the drawings, the present invention is
shown to include a folding body 1, side cover plates 2, an upper
cover plate 3, and fastening lugs 4. The present invention as a
whole is made of transparent or semi-transparent plastic material.
The folding body 1 is provided with shallow grooves 10 such that it
can be folded into a U-shaped member, and has front and rear end
portions provided with slide grooves 11, which have end portions
formed with stop grooves 12 and retaining holes 13. The periphery
of each side cover plate 2 is formed with a projecting track 20
engageable with the slide groove 11. The upper end of the track 20
is provided with a stop block 21 and a resilient retaining member
22 corresponding to the respective stop groove 12 and retaining
hole 13. The upper cover plate 3 has front and rear ends provided
with connecting holes 30 for pivotal engagement with the fastening
lugs 4. The inner edge of each fastening lug 4 is formed with a
projection 40. Each side cover plate 2 is provided with a fastening
hole 23 corresponding to the projection 40 of the respective
fastening lug 4 so that they are inter-engageable.
[0015] In actual use, the shoe box of this invention can be stocked
in factory in a flat state so as to reduce storage space, and can
be quickly assembled into a box shape during manufacture of the
shoes. Firstly, the folding body 1 is folded along the shallow
grooves 10 on both sides into a U-shape. Then, the tracks of the
side cover plates 2 are inserted into the slide grooves in the
front and rear ends to the bottommost end such that the stop blocks
21 and the retaining member 22 project into the stop grooves 12 and
retaining holes 13 in the slide grooves 11, respectively, in a firm
manner. In addition, according to the color and size of the shoes,
fastening lugs 4 with corresponding color or number indications can
be connected pivotally to the connecting holes 30 of the upper
cover plate 3, and the upper cover plate 3 can engage the fastening
holes 23 in the side cover plates 2 by means of the projections 40
at the inner edge of the fastening lugs 4 to thereby enable the
upper cover plate 3 to be removable. As such, the shoe box of this
invention can be quickly assembled without using any tool. Since
the shoe box of this invention is made of a transparent or
semi-transparent plastic material, matched by fastening lugs 4 with
color or number indications, the model, color and size of the shoes
stored inside the shoe box can be easily identified when looking
for shoes to meet customers' requirements. Shoe boxes of this
invention can be neatly stored. In addition, after purchase of the
shoes, the user can use the shoe box to store the shoes without the
need to buy additional shoe storing box, since it is made of
plastic that can withstand pressure and wetness and can protective
the shoes stored therein. As such, there is no waste of resources.
Besides, the user can quickly identify the shoes in the shoe
box.
[0016] Although the present invention has been illustrated and
described with reference to the preferred embodiment thereof, it
should be understood that it is in no way limited to the details of
such embodiment but is capable of numerous modifications within the
scope of the appended claims.
