Dear Mr. Smith,

This email is a follow up to the voice message I left for you.  I have examined the trademark applications for the two marks referenced in the subejct line, and they appear to be mostly in order.  However, before I can approve the mark for publication, the following issue (the same in both applications) must be resolved.  Upon applicant’s direction and consent, I can handle this on my end via Examiner’s Amendment to expedite the process.

The identification in Class 42 in both applications must be amended to provide more specificity for applicant’s services.  Applicant may adopt the following amendment, if accurate (suggested additions indicated in bold, deletions with stikethrough):

·       Providing temporary use of non-downloadable computer software in the field of airline transportation, namely, software for airline passenger transportation and loyalty awards programs for airline passengers; Providing temporary use of non-downloadable computer software in the field of airline transportation, namely, software for tracking and redeeming loyalty program awards for airline passengers; Providing temporary use of nondownloadable computer software in the field of airline transportation, namely, software for ticketing airline passengers, airline flight seating assignments, and checking reservations, flight schedules, and flight status; providing a website featuring information in the field of airline passenger transportation

Once we resolve this issue, I intend to approve the marks for publication. Please indicate at your earliest convenience whether I have the applicant’s permission to make this change, and let me know if you have any questions.

Respectfully,
