You can also add a class if you wish. Please let me know at your earliest convenience how you wish to proceed regarding your identification of goods.

Hi Carolyn,

The charms I am making will be for purses and handbags, because of this, would it make more sense to file under class 026? From what I’m reading it says that charms that are to be affixed to items other than actual jewelry (eg. backpacks) should be classified with 026.

Danielle,

Thank you for your response. As I was reviewing my suggested class 014 id one last time, I see that I included “adornments for handbags with multi-colored embroidery”, which is not acceptable because the nature of the “adornments” is not clear. To keep this in class 014, I would need for you to specify they type of handbag adornments that you intend to sell that fall into class 014. I would suggest using our ID Manual to check any items you may wish to claim here: http://idm-tmng.gov.uspto.report/id-master-list-public.html. Otherwise, we can also remove this clause from the identification of goods in class 014.

I apologize for the mistake in the ID I suggested in my email. Please reach out with any questions. I will need to hear from you again to avoid issuing a final action.

Best,

Carolyn
