Subject: U.S. TRADEMARK APPLICATION SERIAL NO. 88253892 - PAWS
Dear Mr. Curcio,
I am the USPTO attorney currently examining the application listed in the subject line above. I have completed the search of the Office records. However, I am unable to approve this application because of the reason indicated below. With your authorization, I can make the necessary changes to the application by Examiner’s Amendment. Then, I will be able to approve this application. Please respond by Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Thank you.
REQUIREMENT: CONCISE MARK DESCRIPTION
Applicant must submit an amended description of the mark because the current one uses broad, vague language that does not accurately describe the mark. 37 C.F.R. §2.37; see TMEP §§808.01, 808.02. Descriptions must be accurate and identify all the literal and design elements in the mark. See 37 C.F.R. §2.37; TMEP §808.02. In this case, the description is vague because it does not concisely explain the location of all of the elements of the mark.
The following description is suggested, if accurate: The mark consists of a paw print with a reminder ribbon on the second digit above the word "paws" with a checkmark over the right side of the letter "w".
Best regards,
/Tina Brown/
