OFFICIAL USPTO EMAIL - Trademark Application Serial No. 88177000 CACTUS - Response Requested
Dear Mr. Tobor,
I am the assigned trademark examiner for the above-referenced application. I have reviewed the application and the applicant must amend the identification of goods. The identification of the goods in the application reads “Wellheads used in oil and gas well drilling operations, namely, casing heads, casing spools, tubing heads, casing hangers, tubing hangers, tubing head adapters, test plugs, wear bushings, tees, crosses, tree caps, chokes and valves, gate valves and large bore valves” in class 7. It is not clear from this identification whether applicant intends to use the mark on the wellhead machines as a whole, on the individual parts of the wellheads, or both. Applicant may adopt either or both of the following identifications, if accurate: “Wellhead machines used in oil and gas well drilling operations comprised of casing heads, casing spools, tubing heads, casing hangers, tubing hangers, tubing head adapters, test plugs, wear bushings, tees, crosses, tree caps, chokes and valves, gate valves and large bore valves; Parts of wellhead machines used in oil and gas well drilling operations, namely, casing heads, casing spools, tubing heads, casing hangers, tubing hangers, tubing head adapters, test plugs, wear bushings, tees, crosses, tree caps, chokes and valves, gate valves and large bore valves” in class 7.
If you agree that the changes are acceptable, we can move more quickly through the registration process for this application. Please let me know by email or phone by 1 PM EST on Monday, February 11, 2019, if you agree to allow me to correct the above by Examiner’s Amendment.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions. If I do not hear from you by that time, I will issue a formal Office Action on this issue.
Best,
Sara Helmers
