This is a response to the Office Action issued on 12/31/2018 against the applied-for mark RELX (No. 88112929) because of a likelihood of
confusion with the mark in U.S. Registration Nos. 1526049, 1647608, 2008661, 4172196, 5311195 and a U.S. Application Serial No. 88084531. Firstly, all the cited marks seems to contain the wording
"relax"except No.4172196 RELAJADO. But the origin of the applied for mark RELX has nothing to do with the wording "relax". R, E, L, X letters has their own meanings, R represents Responsibility, E
for Empathy, L for Leadership, X for Experience. Secondly, the applied for mark RELX is in a stylized form which can be easily distinguished from other marks. Finally, the applied for mark has
registered in China, EU, and has many evidence of use, attached are the evidence of use. Thus, the USPTO should consider the registration of the applied-for trade mark RELX. |
