The mark consists of a circular logo outlined in black with the words "COURAGE TO CARE" in black along the top and "UNION PACIFIC" in black along the bottom, with curved bands in black separating the wording, all against a gray background. In the center of the circle, there are two lions in gray outlined in black positioned back to back with a railroad spike in gray between them bearing the Latin words "EAMUS DOMUM INCOLUMES" in black, all against a circular black background.
