The examining attorney has searched the Office records and has found no similar registered or pending mark which would bar registration under Trademark Act Section 2(d), 15 U.S.C. §1052(d). TMEP §704.02.
Significance
The applicant must indicate whether “cursor on target” has any significance in the relevant trade or industry or as applied to the services. 37 C.F.R. §2.61(b).
It is noted that the applicant operates a Federally Funded Research and Development Center for the Department of Defense.
The applicant indicated it is seeking to register the mark in standard characters. Nevertheless, it appears the applicant began to describe the mark and to make a color claim. These appear to be incorrect and unnecessary and should be withdrawn.
