The literal element of the mark consists of U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION US U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AIR AND MARINE. The applicant is not claiming color as a feature of the mark. The mark consists of a shield with a wide, solid band at the outer edges, surmounted by a stylized image of an eagle looking left. The words "U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION" appear on a wide interior band at the top of the shield. A scroll bearing the word "AIR AND MARINE" appears on the bottom of the shield. In the center of the shield, the letters "US" appear on either side of a circular logo. The logo consists of six concentric circles, the first of which is depicted as a rope, the second of which consists of narrow band, the third of which consists of a wide band, and fourth of which consists of a narrow band, the fifth of which consists a medium-sized band, and the sixth and interior of which consists of a solid circle. The words "U.S. DEPARTMENT OF" appear on the top of the third concentric circle, and the words "HOMELAND SECURITY" appear on the bottom of the third concentric circle. The interior concentric circle includes a variation of the Department of Homeland Security Seal, a graphically styled white American eagle. The eagle's wings stretch across the circle. The eagle's talon on the left holds an olive branch with 13 leaves and 13 seeds while the eagle's talon on the right grasps arrows. Centered on the eagle's breast is a shield divided into three sections. The top section is a clear sky, the bottom left section contains a cloud, the bottom right section contains four wave shapes separated by lines.
