Dear Mr. Hiser,

Thank you for your email. We have discussed matter with our client, and would be pleased for you to enter Examiner’s Amendments in connection with all five of these applications.

For the identification of goods, we propose amending Class 9 in each application as follows:

Facilities management robots for security surveillance, environmental condition monitoring, and safety factor monitoring; Facilities management systems comprised primarily of computer servers, recorded computer software, and cameras for monitoring for security purposes, controlling lights, temperature and other environmental factors, environmental condition monitoring, safety factor monitoring, and scanning guests for security and biometric purposes; Thermal imaging cameras

We do not need to list goods in Class 7.

Finally, we agree to entry of the required disclaimer of BIOMETRICS in application 90200291.

Thank you for your assistance with these matters. Please let us know if you require anything further from us to advance these cases.

Regards,

Gregg

EXTERNAL EMAIL: Use caution when opening attachments or links.

Dear Mr. Paradise,

I hope this email finds you well. I am the examining attorney assigned to five applications (90200208, 90200222, 90231888, 90235785, 90235791) for your client, Turing Video. I have finished my examination of the files and there are issues that can be handled by examiner’s amendment and I wanted to present those to you.

-          Identification

The identification of goods is the same in all five cases and it has some indefinite clauses. First, the robots need to be further defined. Second the systems need to be further defined and the software must be denoted as recorded or downloadable. I suggest the following:

Class 7: Industrial facilities management robots

Class 9: Facilities management robots for security surveillance; Facilities management systems comprised primarily of computer servers, recorded computer software, and cameras for {please further specify the purpose of said system, i.e. monitoring for security purposes, controlling lights, temperature and other environmental factors, scanning guests for security and biometric purposes}; Thermal imaging cameras

Applications 90200208, 90200222, 90231888, and 90235785 can all move on to publication with a fix of the identifications only.

-          Disclaimer

Application 90200291 includes  the term BIOMETRICS which could descriptive of the nature/purpose of the goods in this case as applicant’s goods are so broadly defined so as to include robots that measure biometric data (like body temperature) to determine if someone is sick and is a COVID risk, for instance.

I can make all of the above noted changes for you and move the cases along. Please let me know how you would like to proceed and if you have any questions and/or concerns.

Best Regards,

Charles H. Hiser IV
