Application serial no. 90022042 THE GOOD LIFE(Standard Characters, see http://uspto.report/TM/90022042/mark.png) has been amended as follows:

ARGUMENT(S)
In response to the substantive refusal(s), please note the following:

The Good Life application is for preppy New England themed jewelry and handbags. The following examples were used as "Similarities of the Mark": + Good Life Gear has neither jewelry or handbags/accessories and has a distinctively different aesthetic. The word "Gear" changes the connotation to something more industrial/urban which would not in any way, shape or form be confused with our products. + La Belle Vie does not mean The Good Life; it means The Beautiful Life. The Good Life in French is La Bonne Vie. The Good Life referred to on their website is writing and translation services, which again, is not going to be confused with preppy New England themed jewelry and handbags (http://www.labellevieboutiques.com/pages/services). + Bonlavie: There doesn't appear to be a direct translation of Bonlavie, French or otherwise. This business doesn't appear to be currently extant: http://www.bonlavie.com/signature/ goes to a dead page. For these reasons, there will be no confusion between The Good Life jewelry and the examples given, above, so I am asking for the application to be granted.
