Good afternoon,
I am the trademark examining attorney assigned to the application for the mark SYNTHESIS. I have conducted a preliminary review and just want to make a small amendment to the mark description before moving the application forward. Because the letters are comprised of blue lines, it should be specified that white is just background and not claimed as a feature of the mark. Accordingly, the mark description should be amended as follows:
The mark consists of the word “SYNTHESIS” in stylized blue type. White represents background and is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
Please let me know if this is an acceptable amendment within the next few business days. If so, I can make the changes on my end via Examiner’s Amendment and move the application forward. Thank you.
