My name is Kyle Aurand, and I am the examining attorney assigned to the above referenced trademark application, ABBY REPAIRS. DONE. (stylized mark).  I have reviewed the Office action response that you signed, and I would like your clarification on your title at Genesis Maintenance Corp.

 

When an applicant is a corporation, the response to the Office action must be signed by someone with legal authority to bind the corporation, e.g., a corporate officer (while I do know you signed the application, we have different standards as to the parties that are able to sign an application vs. a response). The usual titles for officers are President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. Further, the signature of the "Chairman" or "Chairman of the Board of Directors" is also acceptable, but not the signature of an individual director (e.g., the Vice-Chairman of the Board). 

 

Because your title listed is merely “director”, it is unclear whether you have legal authority to bind the corporation. Therefore, I would like to ask if there is another title that you have at Genesis Maintenance Corp., that would clarify your authority?
