Dear Examiner Joiner,

 

I’m an associate working with Connie Ellerbach on Sisu Data, Inc.’s trademark matters.

 

We’ve reviewed your Office Action of December 20, 2019, and would like to proposed the following changes to have this application go forward by Examiner’s Amendment:

 

(1)    ID amendments

 

a.       “downloadable software for use in the fields of big data, data analytics, operational analytics, and machine learning” in Class 9 would be amended to read “downloadable software for the analysis, collection, editing, organizing, modifying, book marking, transmission, storage, and sharing of data and information for use in the fields of big data, data analytics, operational analytics, and machine learning”

 

b.       “platform as a service (PaaS) services featuring computer software platforms for use in the fields of big data, data analytics, operational analytics, and machine learning” in Class 42 would be amended to read “platform as a service (PaaS) services featuring computer software platforms for the analysis, collection, editing, organizing, modifying, book marking, transmission, storage, and sharing of data and information for use in the fields of big data, data analytics, operational analytics, and machine learning.”

 

(2)    Translation statement—the following statement would be added to the Application record:

a.       “The English translation of the word “SISU” is determination; perseverance; tenacity; resilience.”

 

We believe that the above translation statement obviates the remainder of the significance inquiry. If you agree and the amendments are acceptable, you have our authorization to enter them by Examiner’s Amendment.
