I’ve been assigned one of your client’s applications. It looks fine except for the identification; particularly, the wording “social media platforms” and a couple minor areas that could use a bit of clarification. With regard to the “social media platforms” … the language, as is, suggests software, which would be in either class 009 or 042. Since the specimen does not seem to support software goods or services, I thought adding a class was unlikely and an Office action nor really necessary. So, I thought I’d see if your client would be willing to amend the identification by EA.
Please note, however, that in order to do the EA, I will also need your bar number, state, and year of admission as well as confirmation that of the following: “I attest that I am an attorney who is an active member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a U.S. state (including the District of Columbia and any U.S. Commonwealth or territory).” [Its due to the new US counsel rule that went into effect last month].
