Hi Tricia,

We are fine with adding “medical” so that the item reads “hydrophilic needle medical guide wire”, but adding “arterial” (relating to arteries) changes and confuses the meaning, and the applicable descriptor – “venous” (relating to veins) – is already present.

Thanks,

Brandon

Dear Attorney Groos:

I am the examining attorney assigned to your filed for DON’T GO LEFT and I would like to resolve the issue with the application by way of an examiner’s amendment. Each item in the medical kit in the identification of goods must be definite. Please see my suggestion below.

International Class 010: Medical devices and apparatus, namely, catheters and parts and fittings therefor; Medical kits for placing central venous catheters comprised of medical guidewires, hydrophilic needle medical guide wire, catheter, and internal venous arterial dilator

I would appreciate your response by 5 p.m. EST on Monday August 26th. Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely,
