Dear Ms. Harkins:
I attempted calling you earlier today and last Friday, but I was unable to reach anyone at your office. I am the Trademark Examining Attorney assigned to review the application submitted on behalf of CRESCOlabs LLC (Docket 3T10477) for the design mark of an asterisk symbol. The application is almost ready to move forward for publication, but there is one issue requiring your attention before I can move the application forward. However, this issue can be resolved by me through an Examiner’s Amendment with your authorization.
Specifically, the applicant’s name includes the wording “LLC” which typically denotes that the entity is formed as a limited liability company. However, the entity type in the application shows that the applicant is a corporation. Therefore, this inconsistency needs to be clarified. If the applicant intended to designate itself as a limited liability company, then I can change the entity type of the applicant in the application by way of an Examiner’s Amendment.
Please clarify the entity type of the applicant and provide authorization for me to amend the application to clarify this inconsistency by Examiner’s Amendment. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email me.
Best regards,
Travis
