USPTO database searched; no conflicting marks found.  The trademark examining attorney searched the USPTO database of registered and pending marks and found no conflicting marks that would bar registration under Trademark Act Section 2(d).  15 U.S.C. §1052(d); TMEP §704.02.

 

Application has been amended as shown below.  As agreed to by Janet Silverberg on July 25, 2019, the examining attorney has amended the application as shown below.  Please notify the examining attorney immediately of any objections.  TMEP §707.

 

COLOR CLAIM AND MARK DESCRIPTION

 

The following statements describing color in the mark are added to the record:

 

The colors blue, red, yellow, white and green are claimed as a feature of the mark. 

 

The mark consists of the stylized word “LIFE”; the “L” is in the color blue, the “I” is in the color red with a stylized red square over the “I”, The “F” is in the color yellow and the “E” is in the color green all in a stylized lower case format.  Each of the letters has a white reflection along its edge.  The white background represents transparent area and is not part of the mark.

I have been assigned by the USPTO to examine the trademark application for “LIFE”, (Serial No.:

88422998).  In order to place the application in condition for approval for publication, the mark

description must be amended to reflect the white reflection on the edge of each of the letters in the

wording.  The color white must also be added to the color claim.  The following is suggested:

 

Color Claim:  The color(s) blue, red, yellow, white and green is/are claimed as a feature of the mark.

 

Mark Description:  The mark consists of the stylized word “LIFE”; the “L” is in the color blue, the “I” is

in the color red with a stylized red square over the “I”, The “F” is in the color yellow and the “E” is in

the color green all in a stylized lower case format.  Each of the letters has a white reflection along its

If the proposed color claim and mark description are acceptable, kindly reply by email or phone

indicating as such, on or before the close of business on Friday, July 26, 2019 and the changes may be

entered by Examiner’s amendment.
