EXAMINER’S AMENDMENT

This Office action is in response to applicant’s communication filed on 1/27/2020.  The applicant argued against the refusal to register the mark under Section 2(d) of the Trademark Act, amended the recitation of services, indicated the basis of the application, stated that the letters ISE in the mark do not have significance in the relevant trade, and submitted a signed declaration and verified specimens.  These amendments are acceptable.  The refusal under Section 2(d) is withdrawn.

 

 

Application has been amended as shown below.  As agreed to by the applicant’s attorney, Andrew Price, on February 6, 2020, the examining attorney has amended the application as shown below.  Please notify the examining attorney immediately of any objections.  TMEP §707.  Otherwise, no response is required.  Id.  In addition, applicant is advised that amendments to the goods and/or services are permitted only if they clarify or limit them; amendments that add to or broaden the scope of the goods and/or services are not permitted.  37 C.F.R. §2.71(a).

 

 

RECITATION OF SERVICES

 

The identification of services is amended to read as follows: 

 

             Organizing and conducting exhibitions, trade shows, and conferences for commercial, business, and advertising purposes in the field of the audiovisual and systems integration industry and the promotion thereof through advertising; promoting public awareness in the field of the audiovisual and systems integration industry; advertising and promotion of educational and cultural conferences, congresses, events, and exhibitions of others; in Class 35 

 

 

                 Organizing and conducting conferences, congresses, events, and exhibitions for cultural and educational purposes in the field of the audiovisual and systems integration industry and the promotion thereof through advertising; providing information relevant to the field of the audiovisual and systems integration industry for cultural and educational purposes; in Class 41
