Subject: U.S. Trademark Application Serial Nos. 88401910, 88401944, 88401972, and 88401994 for LITTLE CHEF

Dear Ms. Parada,

I am the assigned examining attorney for the above applications.  I have completed my initial examination of the applications, and the only matter to be addressed prior to approving the marks for publication is entry of a disclaimer of “CHEF” for each of these applications.

SN 88401910 is for the mark LITTLE CHEF for “Children's books; Cook books,” in International Class 016.  “CHEF” should be disclaimed as it describes the intended user/consumer of the goods.

SN 88401944 is for the mark LITTLE CHEF for “Educational publications, namely, educational learning cards, flash cards, activity cards, workbooks, textbooks, activity books, story books, puzzle books, printed puzzles, teacher guides, manuals, posters and educational booklets in the field of culinary arts; Greeting cards; Stickers; Printed materials, namely, journals featuring cooking,” in International Class 016.  “CHEF” should be disclaimed as it describes the intended user/consumer of the goods.

SN 88401972 is for the mark LITTLE CHEF for “Children's multiple activity toys; Infant toys; Infant development toys; Stuffed and plush toys; Children's educational toys for developing culinary skills; Play mats containing infant toys,” in International Class 028.  “CHEF” should be disclaimed as it describes the intended user/consumer of the goods.

SN 88401994 is for the mark LITTLE CHEF for “Publishing of books, e-books, audio books, music and illustrations,” in International Class 041.  “CHEF” should be disclaimed as it describes the intended recipient/end user of the services.

With your permission, I can enter the disclaimer of “CHEF” for each of these applications via an Examiner’s Amendment, and I will then approve the marks for publication.

Please let me know if I may proceed here with the Examiner’s Amendments.

Sincerely,

Kaelie
