I am the Examining Attorney from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that has been assigned to review the application you filed for trademark protection, Application Serial Nos. 88382359, WEWE and 88347732, X plus design.
I have completed my review of the applications and have determined the following requirements must be addressed before the applications can be moved forward. These requirements are straight forward and can be corrected here at the Office using an Examiner’s Amendment.
As to Application Serial Number 88382359, WEWE
Requirements:
1) Identification of Goods:
The wording “Hunting knives” is duplicated in the identification. The Office does not accept duplicative wording. Therefore, may I amend the identification as follows:
International Class 008:
Can openers, non-electric; Chef knives; Diving knives; Fishing knives; Fixed blade knives; Folding knives; Hatchets; Hunting knives; Machetes; Pocket knives; Scissors; Utility knives; Household knives; Table cutlery, namely, forks, spoons, knives.
2) Mark Description:
May I amend the mark description as follows:
The mark consists of the stylized wording “WEWE”.
3) Translation:
May I add the following statement to the application, to be consistent with your prior application, SN 88266621:
The wording “WEWE” has no meaning in a foreign language.
As to Application Serial Number 88347732, X plus design:
Requirements:
1) Identification of Goods:

I must take action on your application by 5pm EST on Monday, May 20. If I do not hear from you regarding the above mentioned requirements by that time, I will issue an Office Action with the information contained therein and you will have six (6) months to respond to the Office Action.
