Hello Mr. Rosini,
I am an examining attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. I am reviewing the trademark application for IDEON, Serial No. 88375689. There are a few issue I’d like to discuss with you about the application that can be resolved with applicant’s agreement.
Amendment to the Color Claim: The color “cyan blue” is claimed as a feature of the mark, however, only generic colors must be used to describe the colors in a color claim and description.
I suggest the following amendment:
The color blue is a claimed feature of the mark.
Amendment to the Mark Description: The mark description uses the terms “dark cyan blue” and “light cyan blue” however, only generic colors must be used to describe the colors in the mark description. Please let me know if you agree to the following mark description being added to the record:
The mark consists of the word “IDEON” in blue lettering behind a blue banner.
Please let me know how applicant would like to proceed. I can amend the Color Claim and Mark Description for applicant with applicant’s approval. Kindly reply by Monday, June 24, 2019.
