DATABASE SEARCH:  The trademark examining attorney has searched the USPTO’s database of registered and pending marks and has found no conflicting marks that would bar registration under Trademark Act Section 2(d).  TMEP §704.02; see 15 U.S.C. §1052(d).

 

APPLICATION HAS BEEN AMENDED:  In accordance with the authorization granted by Dorothy von Hollen on May 3, 2019, the trademark examining attorney has amended the application as indicated below.  Please advise the undersigned immediately of any objections.  Otherwise, no response is necessary.  TMEP §707.  Any amendments to the identification of goods and/or services may clarify or limit the goods and/or services, but may not add to or broaden the scope of the goods and/or services.  37 C.F.R. §2.71(a); see TMEP §§1402.06 et seq.

 

Amendment to the Identification of Services

 

The identification of services is amended to read as follows: 

 

Class 36: Insurance and financial services, namely, financial investment in the field of retirement plans and defined contribution plans, and administration of retirement plans and defined contribution plans; financial investment advisory services; financial planning for retirement; insurance underwriting and administration in the field of group annuities; pension fund and retirement plan financial management services; investment of pension and retirement funds for others; financial administration of employee pension and retirement plans; financial administration of employee benefit plans concerning insurance and finance; investment banking services; capital investment consultation services; securities and commodities brokerage and underwriting services; financial portfolio asset management services; investment advisory and management services; financial information provided by electronic means; retirement services for plan participants in the nature of providing engagement programs, namely, advising plan participants to engage in saving and planning for retirement and financial wellness, providing investment advice, financial planning, and asset allocation services, namely, financial asset management

            The mark consists of a rock design within a circle placed to the left of the stylized word “PRUDENTIAL”
