EXPLANATION OF FILING
An assignment was filed on March 17th by another law firm to transfer ownership of THE FAIRWAYS FOUNDATION application from Aquatrols Corporation of America to The Fairways Foundation. Applicant's current trademark counsel, unaware of the assignment, filed the Statement of Use (?SOU?) on March 25th before the USPTO trademark record was updated, and therefore filed the SOU in the name of Aquatrols Corporation of America. The USPTO issued an Office Action and has requested that Applicant file a new SOU under the new owner name to allow the mark to register. Applicant has filed the SOU under the new owner name The Fairways Foundation and is also submitting this response to the Office Action.
