EXAMINER’S AMENDMENT
ISSUE/MAILING DATE: 6/3/2019
INTRODUCTION
This Examiner’s Amendment is supplemental to and supersedes the previous Examiner’s Amendment issued on May 28, 2019 in connection with this application. The assigned trademark examining attorney inadvertently omitted a requirement relevant to the mark in the subject application. See TMEP §§706, 711.02. Specifically, the trademark examining attorney omitted a requirement to amend the certification statement.
The trademark examining attorney apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the delay in raising this issue.
The amendment of the application, as described below, obviates this requirement.
AMENDMENT OF APPLICATION
APPLICATION HAS BEEN AMENDED: In accordance with the authorization granted by Dr. Jack R. Goetz, Esq. on June 1, 2019, the trademark examining attorney has amended the application as indicated below. Please advise the undersigned immediately of any objections. Otherwise, no response is necessary. TMEP §707. Any amendments to the identification of services may clarify or limit the services, but may not add to or broaden the scope of the services. 37 C.F.R. §2.71(a); see TMEP §§1402.06 et seq.
AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATION STATEMENT
The following certification statement replaces the current certification statement:
The certification mark, as used or intended to be used by persons authorized by the certifier, certifies or is intended to certify that the services are provided by persons who have demonstrated a particular level of knowledge and competency in the field of mediation services by having met the certifier’s eligibility requirements and passing an assessment and examination.
See TMEP §1306.03(a).
If the applicant has any questions or needs further assistance, please telephone the assigned examining attorney. Further, please advise the undersigned immediately of any objections to this examiner’s amendment. Otherwise, no response is necessary.
